On paper this restaurant should be great but it’s just not. I have eaten here multiple times over the years while visiting Universal Orlando. I kept thinking that maybe I just caught them on a bad night so I would give them another chance but every single time the food is mediocre at best and sometimes is just straight up bad. As for the service it’s decent but nothing spectacular. The Chocolate Emporium is priced very similar to Big Fire but there is no comparison when it comes to food. Big Fire is hands down the better restaurant. The selling point for Big Fire is the food, the selling point for Chocolate Emporium is the goofy chocolate factory type gimmick and the way overhyped shakes.

We came for our reservations and were told to stand to the side and my phone said table was ready. Watched a few other families get seated and thought maybe I should say hey, did you forget us? They did and stated were you seated already and asked to change tables? No we have been standing here over 5 mins staring at you. Finally seated, the food is just mediocre, expected more out of the burger. Our waitress was fine but she didn't ask how I liked the burger after taking half the unfinished burger to be thrown out because that's when I would say it was ok, but not really the best. Side note: the sitting area outside of the store was incredibly dirty and covered in trash. We watched people leave the store side and put more trash on tables. It was a bit strange such a fancy place was so dirty outside.

If you visit Universal City Walk, you MUST stop by the Chocolate Emporium!!! We had earlier reservations (around 5:00) so the dinner crowd wasn't there yet. It filled up quickly though. The food was SO good and the service even better. Our waiter (I can't remember his name) was awesome. He made suggestions and answered every question we had. I will be back next time I visit Orlando again :) 10/10

We had An amazing lunch in this restaurant. Very great atmosphere, cool vibe. Super cocktails to start.
The food is just incredible, the truffle Bree fondue was delicious, especially with the housemate chocolate bread. Sounds crazy but is definitely working. The May Contain Bacon burger was stunning. So juicy and cooked to perfection.
Leave some room for the dessert. The milkshake wasn’t disappointing.
All in all an amazing experience. We will come back!

It has been a few years since I dined at the Chocolate Emporium, and this time I shared the experience with my friend.

From the moment we were seated upstairs, Professor Doctor Penelope Tibeaux (I absolutely loved her British accent) and Tinker Toothsome came over to our table, personally welcomed us, and even posed with us for a photo. That was really a nice touch which really made it feel like we were personal guests at their establishment.

We started our dining experience off with the Macadamia Chocolate Cherry drink and the Chocolate Almond Bread. First, I didn't know there were drinks that actually taste like chocolate. Second, that bread was absolutely AMAZING and was just as I remembered it. It was soooooo good, I had to get one to go after dinner (I should have bought two). It's one of those guilty pleasures that you can ignore. You don't feel bad about eating it....not even a little bit.

For our main entree, we had the Duck Confit and the Braised Short Ribs. Both were very flavorful and beautifully plated.

Our server, Jamie, was fantastic. He walked us through the menu and offered great insight on the dishes, drinks, and desserts.

It's easy to see why this restaurant is ALWAYS packed when I visit CityWalk. If you love chocolate, this place has a great vibe, the foods (and drinks) have great flavors, and the interaction with Professor Doctor Penelope Tibeaux and Tinker Toothsome really added to the experience. All of the restaurants at CityWalk are pretty, but when you taste the chocolate bread at this place, you'll definitely be back!!!

Today was my first time at Toothsome Chocolate Emporium in Orlando and what a Fun Time I had. Jordan, who escorted me to my table, was very engaging and friendly. Alex, my server, was prompt, knowledgeable, accommodating and very helpful. The characters Penelope and Jacques were so charming, chatty and so Englishly Civilized that the whole experience was wonderfully immersive.

The Food. I ordered the Patty Melt from the Brunch Menu. The Patty Melt was described as challah with a half-pound house-made fresh hamburger patty, sunny-side up egg, grilled pork belly, cheddar cheese and Lyonnaise potatoes.

I love the sweet and savory flavor combination. The challah was sliced thick and hearty and dipped in an egg batter like French toast. The beef was juicy with a nice beefy flavor and cooked perfectly. The cheddar had a nice sharpness and the grilled pork belly was deliciously fat and rich. The sunny side egg on top, when broken added a nice luxuriant creaminess. A delicious sandwich served with a side of sweet syrup. The lyonnaise potatoes were okay. The medallions of potatoes were tender enough but it would have been better served with crispier edges and a touch less oregano. But that’s just me. The Patty Melt is the Star Of The Show anyway.

After eating half my Patty Melt and raising the white flag, I ordered the Chocolate Bread Pudding with White Chocolate Ice Cream and Chocolate Dust. Mmmmmmm! A spoonful of the moist, creamy, chocolate dotted bread pudding with a touch of the cool, creamy white chocolate ice cream and the crunchy chocolate dirt in one spoonful is a very, satisfying blend of textures and chocolatey goodness.

Toothsome was fun, captivating, and unlike a your typical restaurant. With a blend of chocolate factory vibes and candy land fantasy, it’s a sugar lover’s dream come to life. The food also exceeded expectations—especially impressive for a theme park setting. The menu was imaginative and well-executed, offering not just sweet treats but also delicious savory options. We only wish we had more room to sample everything! It’s a must-visit spot when you’re at Universal.

The food was delicious, I would recommend everything on the menu, although my carbonara pasta did come out lukewarm on one occasion but nonetheless it was still tasty.

The service was a slight let down however. The waiters were very good and attentive although one barman in particular ended this trend. He was rude and unfriendly. His attitude towards my group was poor, and when he received his tip in a distasteful manner.

Overall, our two dining experiences there were very pleasant except for one bad barman… I would highly recommend as the entrées and desserts alike were very well presented and tasted excellent.

The food was ok, nothing that my family ordered was amazing but the portions are good. Pictured below is the Chicken cordon bleu sandwitch. The shakes pictured are the espresso shake and the key lime pie shake. The service was great and the dessert. The shakes are amazing!
We didn't order any of the Sundays but I saw a few go by our table, they all looked incredible also.

We have eaten here a few times and it's always a great experience. Our waitress last night went above and beyond with our food allergy. She was extremely thorough with everything. 10/10 recommended! Their chocolate almond bread with caramel butter was amazing, it is a must try!!!

One of our FAVORITE Universal restaurants. Not only is the ambiance amazing, so is the food!! You cannot beat the chocolate bread or the duck confit! Highly recommend adding this to your MUST try list when visiting Universal. Bring an empty belly and your sweet tooth, you will not leave disappointed!
