We stayed here recently to see our Ohio family and granddaughter play softball tournaments at area schools in Orlando. We live in Fort Lauderdale area. The facility staff was so friendly and helpful. The cleanliness of the rooms was excellent. The food was good and available at several areas. Starbucks was a plus to have at the facility as well. Very convenient area to stay for Universal Orlando and City Walk and Volcano Water Park. Would recommend this hotel. The only thing I would change is that they need bellmen to help guests with unpacking and have carts at the front for guests. This you have to do yourself. Oh, they have shuttles to City Walk and Universal parks.Rooms: The room where we stayed was 2 Queen beds on the sixth floor so we had a great view of Volcano Water Park and the pool area. The cleaning ladies were fabulous and clean our rooms daily and straightened up and cleaned the bathrooms. They were wonderful!! I tipped my cleaning lady because she was so caring!Walkability: You are in walking distance to Volcano Bay Water Park and City Walk but they provide shuttle service buses for all.

I stayed here over spring break with my family so we could have early and easy access to Volcano Bay. My family of 5 enjoyed the family suite, pool (inflatable toys only and bring your own tubes for the lazy river!), on site dining and shake/malt shop. Prices were expensive, but the amenities, cleanliness of the property, kindness/knowledge of staff, and early access to the theme parks made it worth it. There are other perks available that we didn't even know about with transportation to other Universal areas- make sure you know everything that's included in your stay! Would recommend to others.Rooms: Our family suite had enough space for our family of 5. Appreciated the mini fridge (no freezer portion for our ice packs), microwave, and pull out couch. There were 2 TVs- the parents and kids could each watch their own movie after we came back to the room. Separate toilet room/open sink area, and shower/sink room allowed multiple people to get ready for bed at the same time.Food & drinks: The onsite dining had enough choices that everyone in the family had something to enjoy- macaroni and cheese, pizza, a salad bar, adult grilled cheese at the deli shop, and a cheese burger. You had the choice of dining in or getting things in a box to go back to your room.

Overall this is a decent place for families. We probably should have rethought the date, Easter week coupled with Spring break and some gigantic sports thing happening makes for much longer than usual lines EVERYWHERE. Lots and lots of teenage athletes everywhere.Rooms: The rooms were clean, bonus points because housekeeping came daily which was nice and they did a great job with fresh sheets and towels daily. A small table was nice to have a snack, no room service or anything of that nature. Bathroom has a door and the sink is separate from toilet and tub which I like.Nearby activities: Islands of Adventure and Universal Park and Blvd offers a lot of restaurants and activities. MAKE RESERVATIONS or you will be waiting in long long linesWalkability: No place here is walkable. We did not realize transportation from the airport needed 24 hour advance notice. Taxi ride from airport was around $60Food & drinks: No sit down dining options at the resort. It’s all cafeteria style. The food offered in the “diner” is continental style at best (Think Holiday in express microwave bacon, instant eggs etc) The bars don’t serve food, the few food places don’t serve alcohol, making it difficult to get a meal and a drink without standing it 2 separate lines. The staff manning the soda and condiment stations in the diner are very very lax boarding on rude. (possible language barrier?) They sell bottles of soda for $4.50 or offer a refillable cup (about 8oz) for around $20 that you can fill every 7 minutes. We paid $46 for 2, it’s based on how many days you’re staying. Soda machine often out of ice, flavors, or carbonation. Multiple soda machine’s have been out of at least 1 of these things almost every time we try to refill our cups. Starbucks on premises definitely a plus, although no call ahead and long long lines.Noteworthy details: Free transportation to parks is a plus. Hotel is Retro style which is cool. Check in for us on Monday was 4:00. Our issue for not realizing that and booking flights accordingly. We waited in the lobby. Key cards required to enter pool area. we were able to check our bags.

Amazing hotel - everything was so clean and the staff is very friendly. Ate breakfast at the Bayliner, lots of food choices.Pool area was enjoyed by our kids. We tried using the hot tubs every day, but they were always overrun by children.. so we never got a chance to use them.

Super hotel... we loved the experience!Rooms: Good size, very nice decoration tones. The pool area has a bar and restaurant area... and a large sandbox to feel like you are on the beach.Nearby activities: A few steps away is the entrance to Volcano Bay

Just great! We will def l be coming back and trying the pool and lazy river and we didn't have time this time!Rooms: we had a two-bedroom room and it was an incredible wiew of volcano and it was perfect for everyone. Dad and mom share a room with two individual beds (they are not queens' bed though) , 9-year-old girl was really happy to have a room to herself and teen boy said the living room couch pull over was confortable enough. The living room is very spacious for the whole family to seat togehter and make coffee in the morning.
