When the majority of your act is asking the audience if they are excited, you don’t have a good act. And the fifth time you ask that and you get a lukewarm response, don’t blame the audience, rethink your tired and dated act. The food was really good and the drinks were fun, but we got up and left with about 1/4 of the show left because it was not entertaining.

This is one of the best Dinner shows I expected and experienced since the previous ones years ago in Sea World and Walt Disney World. The Buffet was awesome and the best I loved was the Hawaiian Chicken Teriyaki. The show was amazing and it really captured the vibe atmosphere of the Polynesian islands. Since the food was so good and the show was superb, I can't wait to do this again in the future. I would highly recommend this dinner show at Universal Orlando!

What a fantastic experience! The Wantilan Luau at Loews Royal Pacific Resort in Orlando was everything I hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. The pre-show activities were a nice surprise—getting leis and learning about Polynesian culture was a fun way to kick off the evening.

The buffet was absolutely delicious—so many options to choose from! The roasted pig was perfectly cooked, and the coconut jasmine rice was a standout. The roasted chicken was absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned and tender. The pastries were a highlight too; they were light, sweet, and just the right touch to end the meal on a high note.

The drinks were great, and I definitely enjoyed the bottomless mai tais. They added to the festive atmosphere and kept the evening lively. The show itself was phenomenal—full of energy, beautiful dances, and an unforgettable fire performance. The performers were so engaging, and the whole experience felt like a celebration.

It was a cold and breezy night. When asked if we could close the curtains we were told no and if we would like we could just go sit somewhere else. Music was awesome but service not so much.

Everything the food was good. We love the buffet and the show m. After I ate, I wanted to use the restroom. The employee directed me where to go, and the house cleaning kdy said the bathroom is locked. I was told to go outside Luau to go to a different building. Then I went outside, and I asked a gentleman if he knew the restrooms, he said on the 3rd floor. Omg! The stairs is to high just to go to use the restrooms. I will give them 3 stars. Because I have to go out to different buildings on the 3rd floor. It's ridiculous. Then, when I got back in the middle of the show, the lady said the restrooms are open now. I told her I had already gone outside on the 3rd floor.

The Buffet is very good, large quantity of choice of food, desserts, cold dishes, children's meals. The service is exceptional, my Mai Tai has never been empty. The show is very entertaining and it’s very good! Good job ??!

I was taken to the Disney World luau back in the 70s or early 80s, and really enjoyed it. I finally got to see that one again a few years ago, and left very disappointed. They sat us behind a post, and had changed what was a wonderful show in to more of a Disney story. Because of that, I wanted to see if the Universal version was closer to the experience I liked so much as a kid.

Having never seen this luau before, I cannot compare it to how it used to be. I expect it was even bigger and fancier when it stated, and has been cut back (like everything else) over the years.

That said, we both loved this presentation. It was much more of a "historian" presentation of the dances and customs of various islands.

Downside: buffer. I never cared for buffets (especially knowing how few guys wash their hands after leaving the public restrooms), and dislike them even more in this post-Covid world. But, the food was great, and it was well maintained. (Just try not to watch what kids take then put back. Ignorance is bliss.)

No poles to block the view! Though the seating at a table, turned sideways, is a bit odd. I would think seminar-style tables with everyone seated on one side might work better.

Service was EXCELLENT. The "bottomless" Mai Tai was truly that. Every few sips, someone refilled my glass. All. Night. Long. There was also a bar with beer and wine, included. Bonus.

The performers (five musicians, five dancers, and an M/C) were great. After the show, they pose in a group for photos. Nice touch.

Nitpicks: Before things started, we just had to wait outside in the sun and heat. They at least had water for us, and a few dancers came and taught some twirling and such. A better place to wait would be appreciated.

The stage lighting was also bad. The right side of the stage was dark. It looks like their stage lights need to be repositioned.

Unlike the modern Disney luau, we both agree we'd come back and do this one again.

Kudos to the crew we saw that night. It was a great experience. I will have hundreds of photos posted to my Park Hopping blog site, soon.

The place hold I would say 200 people (20 tables of 10) set up 4 tables across front by stage and 5 deep towards bar and buffet in rear. On this night in early sept. they only had 10 tables. It definately isn't worth paying for upgraded seating. Everyone sees fine and on this night many folks had front tables anyway with out paying extra. Food was good nothing spectacular. Drinks were included which I was surprised. They had Mia Tia, beer, and wine all very good. Waiters can get for you or you can visit the bar. No lines for food or the bar with 100 folks. The show was fun showcased all the different islands and their dances. It's kinda expensive but so is everything since 2021and inflation.

Parking: They validate your ticket so it's free

I was so excited to book this for my birthday and our show is today, August 24th. It was supposed to be just my sister my dad and I. We hadn't spent time together, just the three of us, in years. She has kids and we live over 200 miles from him. My sister has been ill for a week and has been told to stay home since she is still encountering new symptoms. I found someone who could go in her place yesterday. I was still excited. Last night, my dad had an emergency and was unable to make the drive up from South Florida.

I know there are no refunds but I called before 930 AM, barely holding back tears because my birthday weekend is in shambles, and Tiffany answered the phone at concierge. She was so sweet and patient trying to listen to what I was saying. She reiterated no refunds but she will do her best as she understands. When I didn't hear back by 330 PM I decided to call and check in.

Sydney answered the phone in concierge and asked if I had emailed the luau manager. It was like she didn't even hear the first part where I told her who I talked to and what I was told. So I repeated myself. She gave me "the script", no empathy, not even pretending to want to care. The show is non-refundable and they are third party so only the one manager can approve a refund or reschedule.

The worst part, this luau is only on Saturdays but this manager only works Monday to Friday. So my choices are not go and risk losing $418.00 or go, short one person, and be miserable because I'm in shambles over what is happening with my family. I am taking my chances not going because I truly am not in the mental mindset to try and celebrate. I really hope whoever owns/operates the luau will show a single iota of empathy more than Sydney in concierge is capable of showing and at least let me reschedule.

I don't care about a refund. I want be happy and drink and eat and watch a beautiful show. I just need to do it another time, even if I need to pay additional because it's a peak season. Just don't take my $418.00 just when I thought nothing else could make this weekend worse.
