Date Jan 6 2024Oh my God this place is absolutely amazing!!You will be happy handing them your $$$ the food was amazing you will be saying OMG!! after every bite , the atmosphere was amazing the service and staff were amazing every last bite was amazing & on top of everything amazing, I normally don't order dessert after I eat but something told me to ask about the dessert menu and when our server, whom we discovered was the owners wife ( she was amazing) started naming the desserts they offered I heard nothing after the hard shell bon bon and OMG!!! IT WAS AMAZING!!! Dinner tonight was a dinner to cry for (A very happy tummy cry)No need for olive garden anymoreWhen we haveDon Giovanni's ?❤❤❤❤ Port orange location Review part 2DateJanuary 20th 2024I would like to addTo my previous review. Let me just say I work from home and have a high demandingcorporate job and i only get out on the weekends and i look forward to my weekends , so i decided to go back to Don geiovanis the following week On a Sunday After waiting all week To enjoy a great meal and discovered the restaurant was closed. I againwaited another week and went back the following Saturday Jan 20thHowever this time my experience was a nightmare. We were greeted by our server named Tammy We ordered our appetizers and drinks She brought us our drinks and didn't get our drink order correct and didn't bring us the bread until after bringing our appetizers. We ordered our food 1 being a cold Italian sub my son had asked for And when it was brought to the table it was hot (he asked for a cold sub) my son was hungry so he began to eat it, while we waited for our server to come back to the table to check on us which took her forever to do and when she came we told her about the sandwich and she said she would have another one made & we waited it took forever we flagged her down and asked about the sandwich and she said the craziest thing we ever heard , she said that the chief said the only way a cold Italian sub was made is hot ?‍♀️ made absolutely no sense. Then we asked for to go containers and the check we were just so disappointed and wanted to leave, tammy came back with the check and to go containers my husband began to pack up the food and we gave her the payment for dinner she began to clear the table and grabbed more dishes then she could carry and ended droppings the dishes and glass went everywhere and all over me and she picked up a couple pieces off the table and walked away then finally came back with our credit card and walked away not bothering to clean up the rest of the broken dishes or the pieces that were all over the booth or check me for that matter. I was in total shock I could not believe that had happened and neither could the couple who watched it all happen, nobody else in the restaurant showed any kind of concern what so ever. We had to wipe off the booth so i could get out of it and we were stepping on broken dishes as we were leaving the table i was so upset when leaving the restaurant I had actually thought that I had found a hidden treasure to go eat once a weekWhere I could enjoy the atmosphere and get great serviceBut after what happened and seeing no empathy or remorse from anyone in the restaurant & there is No way someone can break that many dishes and make that much noise and no one that works there notice I will not be going back.My advice would be If you still decide to go and experience the restaurant for yourself I would not advise having Tammy as your server.I was so very disappointed. This happened at the port orange location

Their Italian dishes were excellent as was their homemade bread and dipping sauce, I had lasagna and it was great, my daughter had seafood and she loved her dish as well.

This was our third visit, with a few months between visits, and Shana remembered our preferred wine and our previous orders every time! We’ve had the lasagna, the ravioli, the calamari, the eggplant, and the pizza - all fantastic!! Their marinara is amazing, which is so important!! This is the only restaurant that can bring us over the bridge from beachside❤️

So impressed with this family-run restaurant. Menu is not large (includes site made pizza dough), but all very well done, good wine selection and Italy-sourced expresso). To top that, the service is well above par. It isn't a large place so watch your timing.

We wanted some great Italian last night and wanted to see the game so we headed to Don Giovanni’s. I can honestly say that not only was the food phenomenal this place is a success because of the owner Giovanni. We spent a lot of dinner chatting with him about Italy, sports, and his restaurants. Now the food wow! We started with the octopus carpaccio served with arugula, shaved Parmesan, capers, and lemon. It was delicious! We also had the special which was escargot served in a traditional butter garlic sauce. They were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. For entrees I had my personal favorite spaghetti and clams. There was so many clams and it was full of flavor! My fiancé had the dinner special cannelloni stuffed with sausage, broccoli rabe, and mascarpone, served in marinara. He absolutely loved it. If you can believe it we finished up with some gelato. This place is a must visit can’t wait to return and try the rest of the menu!
