“Where to begin?! We went for supper last night with a friend visiting from out of town. It was a first time for all of us and we were absolutely BLOWN AWAY! From the tastiness of a simple appetizer [herbed bread with butter, pesto, and olive oil for dipping], to the incredible entrées [filet medallions with Parmesan risotto, chicken carbonara], and ending with one of the most decadent desserts [brownie a la mode] we had ever had, all of us left talking about it and planning our next visit. It was so, so delicious. We were able to speak with the manager Nick, and he was beyond pleasant and friendly. My husband and I have both worked in restaurants before and to see a manager take such time and care in ensuring guests are happy and enjoying themselves is next level service. Our waitress Katelyn was wonderful as well, and funny by joining in and cracking some jokes back at my husband. We cannot say enough positive things about SoNapa, specifically this Ormond location. We will most certainly be back and highly recommend going to see for yourself! No photos because we were living in the moment and savoring every single bite!!”

We moved from Palm Coast where we lived China King, but I spoke with the lady before ordering and she told me that I would love it and she was right. Wife called the restaurant to get the order corrected and she was told that Chow Mein is vegetables over rice. I guess Red Bowl doesn’t understand Chinese because “Mein” clearly means noodles. Likely an order for another customer than cancelled so they decided to dump it on us. Probably worth mentioning my wife is Chinese and her blood pressure shot up when told over the phone that it was rice not noodles.”

Let me tell you .. the food is fantastic ! It’s always been outside the box / simple Mexican , fresh and delicious , also generous portions ! And the Margs were the best in town , hands down ! They are fresh with lemon and not sweet . List of Mexican places around but the food isn’t as fresh or their margs as good . The manager was very attentive , the waiter very friendly . Tied their regular chicane salad for the first time which I am very picky about. I asked if there were sliced greens she said yes i didn’t see any so I tried it and I’m so glad I did. I have gone back already it’s heat to grab and go for a quick lunch or dine in nice friendly atmosphere and order one of their many menu items. A plus is they always have some sort of dessert. Thank goodness it is nearby this is my go to place for chicken salad”

“The McDonald's on 100 n Nova Rd has the sweetest older lady who takes my order she does many jobs there, I stopped by today and no AC again this is a ongoing problem the poor woman was soaked in sweat and her face was pale I could see she was overheated and she was running orders outside. I took my drinks out of my carrier while waiting on my food and started to fan her she said that's so sweet but you don't have to do that, she said I know I want to I feel so bad for you. McDonald's your employees should not have to work in that kind of heat. Also I would not eat there because it was so hot in there. I like the restaurant always clean and front counter woman so sweet but they shouldn't have to work in those conditions.”

We were greeted by a cheery winetender named Arielle who gave us a tour of the impressive wine selections before we sat down to enjoy the cozy ambiance, jazz and large screen video that brought us right to the beauty of Italy's Amalfi Coast. We only drink organic wine and she reccomended a bottle of Friend of Farmers Verdejo which is now our favorite. She also suggested pairing it with a fruit and cheese platter which was the perfect pre dinner compliment. A special cheese made only from high mountain sheep in Spain called Manchego also paired with dates and more, even gluten free crackers by our request, was decadently enjoyed. I shifted mood for my usual Tequila and to my surprise they also offered mixed cocktails by the can and the Margaritas I had were delicious. There was a pleasant small crowed there, nothing overly loud which made for an intimate happy hour duck away. Wine Not West is a very special place in Ormond Beach.
