Pumphouse BBQ is known for its delicious brisket, burnt ends, and wings. The wings are particularly notable for being bigger, crispier, and more flavorful than those of restaurants that specialize in wings. The service is excellent and the restaurant is kept very clean. A family of three, including a teenager, can be fed for under $70, and all leave satisfied with leftovers. The restaurant has won awards for its burgers, and the G.O.A.T. burger is a popular choice. The brisket has a nice bark and smoke flavor, and the sauces are all good. The deviled egg pasta salad and fried onions are also highly recommended. The wife of one diner particularly enjoyed the brisket bacon burger and collards. The restaurant also serves wine and draft beer. While some may find the bar stools to be a bit light and unstable, the selection of beer and food is more than adequate. Parking can be a challenge, as the restaurant is located on a historic street.
