The staff was awesome. There's a sign up front about their standard for cleanliness but right below it under the counter hasn't been swept or mopped for a while. Subs were ok. The one in Jax on Southside Blvd is better. Much much better. But, the people were great.
Wife and I were in Ormond Beach a couple weeks ago. Stopped in on a recommendation from someone in Ocala. Wife got the Original Philly Cheese Steak and I got the Big Italian. These were by far the best subs we’ve had. Will definitely go back when there. Clean facility and friendly staff.

UPDATE, made it back in yesterday. The cuban was really good. Definitely getting another 1 soon! I have been going to Larry's for over 20 years and I must say, it's still as great as it was when I first went in so long ago. The owners and staff are just great. They make you feel like you're apart of their family. The subs were amazing as always and were enjoyed them over at the beach right across the street.
"The Animal" is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. We loved this place so much that we went 2 days in a row while on vacation in Ormand.
Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free sub rolls and it was pretty good.

I have to say this is by far the worse sub restaurant I have ever been in. Sad when subway is better than this honestly. Not to mention the girl placing our order acted as though she was completely clueless and also messed up everyone’s order in our group. The AC was out, no ice in the drink machine and the bathroom was overflowing in the floor. Some guy said something to the manager and his reply was yeah I know ppl are just too stupid to read the sign?!?! Seriously! Wow

First of all the subs are NOT giant. I got the large and usually am able to save half for the next meal from Publix. Ended up spending twenty bucks on the Bomber with no mushrooms and it left me highly disappointed, especially for the exorbitant prices. The tea tasted like it was made with nasty water so I tried three different sodas and they all just tasted like syrup, no carbonation, so I ended up getting the gross tea anyways. Probably should give them one star, but it's Independence Day. If there were a next time, I'd ask them to add lettuce and tomato to it.
