Needed a place to kill some time, the smash burger was good and fast and the beer was cheap and cold. No complaints.

We spent money on a Lyft to go to fletchers only to be greeted with a hand written sign saying they were closed and different hours. Spent money on another Lyft to go to Rudy's only to find out a new owner took over and they don't have a liquor license yet. Spent money on another Lyft to come to The Other Place. By this time we were ready for a DRANK and food. Our bartender greeted us right away and told us about their food specials and said their burgers are really good. Well we have heard that lie before so we weren't expecting much. I happened to go with their special which was a chicken salad sandwich. Holy moly, it was flavorful and the bun was crisped up nicely. Totally unexpected. My husband ordered the smash burger. Let me tell you, he is a burger snob and completely critical of burgers. He said this is by far the best burger he has had in Daytona. And their French fries could rival McDonald's. Our bartender, Kelly poured some amazing drinks. The place got packed quick from a birthday party and both bartenders were on point and making sure everyone had a drink in their hand. I salute you other places we tried to patron that sent us here on a fluke. We will definitely be back and I do highly recommend their food to anyone looking for a great burger.

Only One
Today was my 2nd time ordering lunch from this place. The 1st time I ordered a double smash burger with tots. Once I sat down to eat, I thought it was a fluke. There is no way a bar has food this good. We'll, I ordered again today and got the same thing. Sure enough, phenomenal, just like the 1st time. I definitely recommend giving this place a shot for lunch. You won't be disappointed.

Leslie goes above and beyond with her amazing attitude, friendliness, and that unbeatable home cooking. It’s always a pleasure when she’s in the kitchen—everything is right on point. I always make it a point to visit when Leslie is the cook! And of course, Sue Wild has been my longtime favorite. These two make every visit something to look forward to! See you again soon.

Cooks are great at this little dive bar. Food is awesome atmosphere is great. Susan the daytime bartender is horrible and has an extremely bad attitude could use a new bartender otherwise I would give this place a five star. Never had a problem any other time going in. Great staff except for Susan it's too bad one bad apple has to ruin it for a great place.

The only reasons im.giving this 5 stars is Athena! And the cooks! The staff here is absolutely amazing..Athena and Travis? Are very much the heart of this place ... the two of them working the bar are a great team from making sure everyone is beveraged, fed, they keep it clean and make sure their customers are safe before leaving. Shout out Athena!
