Great meal for us all. Oysters Rockefeller and two tuna appetizers were delicious rack of lamb veal chop and fish were delicious and prepared and cooked with some vegetables. Delicious JC as always was pleasant and made great suggestions Great evening great food

Our server, Shaun/Sean was excellent! We never wanted for a thing. He made recommendations and we both cleaned our plates. The food was exceptional!!! Including the “sampler” plate of desserts. We were very pleased and are returning soon.

Clearly understand the popularity of this place -- friendly staff, surprisingly nice atmosphere, solid wine list, and good food. I will definitely go back. And as I find more favorites (tile fish and octopus wehre terrific) and know the menu better, this will rise in my list of favorite places in PB area. My criticism is that some of the dishes are just not executed as well as they could be. I blame this on the menu being too big -- the specials menu was almost as large as some restaurants regular menu. If they focused on doing fewer things well and not being everything to everybody, the place could be in the same class as Stage, Buccan, Coolinary...but perhaps they are fine with where they stand.

We have been coming here for more than 30 years. The food never disappoints. Tables are a little too close together, making it difficult to visit the bathroom without making other people move.
Ordered escargot and got mushrooms and a few snails in brown gravy instead of snails in butter and garlic sauce. Entree of lobster and scallops had bland white sauce. Could have flavoured it with shrimp stock or an anchovy at least. Wife had french onion soup whose broth tasted like beef broth that never saw an onion.

We had a delightful evening at Cafe Chardonnay. Excellent food. Extensive wine menu. Yummy desserts. Saturday evening during peak season, place was busy, but still easy to have conversations at the table.
Surprised we've never been here! We will definitely be back. Menu is great... it was tough to decide! Our table (4 people) ordered the duck, octopus, cauliflower, veal, short rib, wedge salad, burrata salad, goat cheese salad. Everything was delicious. Restaurant is pretty and the bar area is beautiful. Minus one star because our reservation was at 7:15 and we did not get seated until 7:40...we would have been okay with this had the bar area not been crowded. We basically felt like we were always either blocking the entry or making it difficult for staff to get by. We also did not receive water until our salads arrived.

Amazing food, wine and service every.single.time. Our waiter was attentive and helpful, the room is comfortable and buzzy. Good for date or a group. Some of the entrees are VERY expensive so just choose wisely.
