The food was nothing special. I really expected something wow, but it was bland at best. The atmosphere was lacking as well. I realize it's in a shopping center but there are a lot of small and inexpensive things that can be done to add to the ambience of a place. The service is where this place really shines. The staff was very attentive and courteous!

The real deal. This is neighborhood Italian at its finest. Low-key atmosphere, relaxed with great service. Everything we ordered was amazing. Stop reading this review and order something now. Look no further for Italian food -- you found it at Giovanni's.
Vegetarian options: We are talking vegetarian, not vegan. Much of Italian dining is vegetarian and there are a multitude of appetizer and entree options for vegetarian dining. Poor vegan diners you would need to specifically state you do not want any cheese or egg products as most things are going to have mozzarella.
Kid-friendliness: They have in-house Wi-Fi for the young kids. This is a low key atmosphere with no issues bringing small children. Very accommodating and the kids ate more than usual at this restaurant and enjoyed their time.
It was our first visit, but it was a wonderful experience. Great food, great wine great atmosphere and great service. We will be back to try it again! I’m a New Haven Pizza buff, but I have to say the extra thin pepperoni salami pie was fantastic. The crust had a very special taste.
