Excellent service especially with seating and waiter . A bit pricey overall but the beignets were worth it all.
Experience was okay. Could be better. As a eewards memeber always hope for a better experience as to why we signed up because we believe in the brand and the company. There was a good band playing nice music. Wasn't a lot of people here which show the lack of the marketing team. The band only did as well as the feedback from the crowd. If I was the band myself I wouldn't come back and play. The food did come out hot and a few dishes are for sure to make you return while others not so much. As slow as it was it would been great to have had more attentive service from our waiter. Disappointed but hoping for better experiences
Good Cajun food and super fun cocktails such as the black magic Lemonade and smoked old-fashioned, great presentation in ambience. The crawfish étouffée also amazing.
Voodoo Bayou scores excellent in all areas, food, ambience, service. I would eat here everyday, fun, pleasant atmosphere, great for families, girls night out, couples night out and date night.
I've been going to Voodoo for years, they've always been consistently good with such an awesome atmosphere. They have dining inside and outside, I especially love sitting in their upstairs dining area. After their menu touch-up recently, there's not a single thing on there that you would need to steer away from as everything is prepared extremely well. If you like Cajun cuisine, great drinks and amazing ambiance, you will NOT be disappointed, keep up the great work Voodoo!!!
We had reservations for outside seating. We were a little early so the hostess sat us at the outdoor bar till our table was ready. The hostess came to get us but we enjoyed the bar so much, we stayed there eating and drinking. Food and service is always great!
The food was good quality. Meals portions weren’t bad. Lunch special was definitely a small portion but overall tasty so it made up. The monkey bread was the icing on top , beautiful presentation.

I recently visited Voodoo Bayou for a girls' night with my friend, and we had an amazing time! Christian G. was absolutely fantastic and made our experience unforgettable. From the moment we were seated, his energy, attention to detail, and friendly demeanor set the tone for the evening.
Christian went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. He had great recommendations for the food, and every choice he suggested was spot on. The dishes were absolutely delicious, but it was Christian’s exceptional service that truly stood out.
Thank you, Christian, for making our girls' night special! We’ll definitely be back and will be requesting you again!

Food above average but pricey. Filet was only average. Jambalaya was good. Cornbread is very good. Festive atmosphere with loud music if that's what you are looking for.

As a frequent visitor to New Orleans, I really wanted to like Voodoo Bayou. We visited there a few months ago, and the food was decent. Yesterday we went back, but we will never go back again.
First of all, before we even sat down, the waitress told us that an 18% tip had already been added to the bill. That's become standard lately, and it's something that saves money for me because I usually tip 20%. Still, it left a bad taste in my mouth that that's the first thing that greeted us.
The food was just OK, and then what sealed the "I'll never go back there again" deal was the bill.
We ordered a $15 lunch special and a couple of drinks. The total bill was over $66! We were nickel and dimed for all the "extras" we asked for, including .50 for pickles and $1 for mayonnaise! We weren't even told this would cost extra. I mean, whoever heard of charging extra for mayo?
The waitress also got our order wrong. We ordered a shrimp po'boy and got an oyster one instead.
One glass of wine cost more than the meal, and at the bottom of the bill we were asked to consider leaving an additional tip.
It's no wonder restaurants in South Florida go out of business so quickly, like the Cuba Libre restaurant across the street from Voodoo Bayou that used to charge over $25 for a small plate of ropa vieja.
I don't mind paying for great food and service. But please don't charge me extra for a spoonful of mayonnaise and a couple of pickles, which are standard in poboys in New Orleans.
