Wexin's on Clematis Street in downtown West Palm Beach is a fantastic spot that delivers on both food and atmosphere. Every dish we tried was excellent, starting with the beef carpaccio and the Swedish meatballs, which were full of flavor and beautifully prepared. Their happy hour is one of the best around—great value, great vibes, and standout food. My wife especially loved the fish tacos during happy hour and couldn't stop raving about the snapper from the regular menu. I personally loved the VL dish, and the Caesar salad deserves special mention—the blackened chicken added to it was some of the best I've ever had. The drinks are unique, refreshing, and thoughtfully crafted, which really adds to the experience. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere with comfortable seating that makes you want to linger. A big shoutout to our server, Isaac—he was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely made the night better with his great attitude and service. Overall, Waxin's is a place we truly enjoy and will absolutely keep coming back to. Highly recommended.
Went for dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday. Their AC was broken, we were sweating, our poor server was very sweaty. We couldn't wait to leave. I get that things happen but we would have appreciated being notified earlier in the evening about the broken AC so we could have possibly made alternative plans. It's hard to pivot at 8PM on a Saturday night when you drove 35 minutes to get there and have a baby sitter on the clock. This experience showed a complete lack of respect for customers. I doubt we will be back.
This is my 2nd visit within two weeks. The first one the food was good enough to try it again. However, the service was below average. The 2nd visit was terrible ! The filet Mignon was the worse I have ever had. It came out cut in halve with the center RAW and the rest well done. It tasted horrible. It was sent back replaced with the chicken dish which was ok.The server said he couldn't replace the side dish so I ate cold potato purée. The Swedish meatballs are fair. The service was horrible He didn't know the menu or he didn't bother to find out about the questions we had. He didn't know what brand of alcohol used for the drinks. He was asked what type of bourbon they had. He didn't know! He didn't know much! He was nice but extremely poorly trained. At this point he should have sent over a manger. I will never recommend or return to any Waxin's location. Overall a terrible experience. Not sure how they will make it in WPB.
New restaurant. with some focus on Swedish cuisine. Those dishes were excellent but limited. Would be interested if they offered more typically Swedish dishes.
It was OK. Waiter brought our food but we had to wait for silverware. Food was fine, kind of small portions. For the price, better restaurants around. This would be good for drinks and appetizers because it's lively and appetizers good.
Waxin’s Restaurant is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed like family. The food is consistently outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The service is attentive, genuine, and professional, and the atmosphere feels like a true neighborhood favorite. This is the kind of place that keeps you coming back again and again. Highly recommend!

We had the most delicious meal at Waxins. The meatballs were a hit for our table of guests . The drinks were fantastic and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The best part of our visit was a table sat outside next to us after dinner and offered us cigars to share in their celebration and bought us drinks . Wow ! What a surprise ! Great night ! We’ll be back soon ! Great job Waxins!

Overall not worth the $145 with tip. Me & my partner went last night (1/3/26) for date night. We had a 9pm reservation but got sat about 20 minutes early. It took forever for a server to greet our table. We ordered 2 glasses of wine to start. I asked the server if the Riesling was on the sweeter side, he recommended another wine that was $8 more & was not sweet at all. Pretty big disappointment for $25 a glass if you ask me. The tuna tartare appetizer was good, nothing incredibly special. Then we can talk about the portion sizes of the entrees. The $45 snapper was the size of a child's palm. The $28 shrimp scampi had about 5 shrimp and legit 20 pieces of spaghetti. I will give them credit where it's due, the sauce in the scampi was yummy & the fish tasted good but that doesn't not warrant a repeat visit. Here's my biggest issue. The service was disappointing. Our sharing plates remained on the table the entire time through our entrees. Our water was never refilled. My empty wine glass also sat on the table after I communicated I did not want more. We watched our server circle us and other tables several times before coming to check on us on several occasions. Overall a huge disappointment. We won't be back.
Most of the food was very good except we had a couple problems. My friends filet mignon was well done instead of medium rare and my other friends chicken was way too salty. That being said, overall the food was very good. Our server was nonexistent. I think he had too many tables. I would like to see the service stepped up a notch. It felt like there were unexperienced servers working. The toast Skagen was delicious. And I enjoyed the snapper except it felt like it was missing a starch. We will be back. We just hope the kinks are worked out.
From the moment we entered the bar , waiting for our table, it was pure joy- the service, the ambiance, the drinks all were just perfection- thank you Waxin's for a perfect evening

The food and drinks at Waxin's are simply outstanding, set in an elevated and chic restaurant right in Clematis. We absolutely love having Waxin's as part of downtown West Palm Beach—welcome to the neighborhood! Can't wait to visit again soon. Thanks
Food & Service were excellent. Music a little too loud. It was hard to hear to hold a conversation,
The restaurant is beautiful, with comfortable seating and lots of space between tables. The service is excellent and the food and drinks are great. We had both American and Swedish dishes and loved them all. We have long been fans of the Palm Beach Gardens location and this new W Palm Beach location is even better. It will be our new go-to!
We had high hopes for Waxins- looked really cute and the menu looked interesting. We drive 40 minutes to go there for a birthday celebration, which was noted in the open table res. When we got there it was a little cold and we asked to sit inside and they said no since they had a private party booked - only in one section but closed off for everyone. So we ate outside (chilly, no heat lamps) and the food was good, creative menu and the service punctual. The staff was clearly catering to the large party and our birthday was never acknowledged with a verbal message or a candle on the dessert. On another night maybe it would be better; our experience was fair overall.
Ridiculous great food. Sat outside and had a perfect evening. Service was top notch and then some. Food was super good and cooked perfectly. Ordered salmon medium rare and it came out exactly as I had hoped it would. Most all places don't pay attention with salmon and cook it like leather. Love, love, love this place.
