We have been coming to Captain’s for 8 years, ever since they catered our wedding. The food is always amazing, service is always great, it’s always something we look forward to on our trips out here. We accidentally showed up just before closing time today and they were happy to serve us anyway. I'd probably rate this place 4 out of 5. The food was decent although I've had much better and more flavorful barbecue elsewhere but the sauce really helped make it tasty. We tried the brisket and the pulled pork.
The mac and cheese was great, the green beans were delicious, the cornbread was tasty but served cold which I would have preferred warm. They do not serve french fries which I feel would go really well with this barbecue so it's a shame that they don't!...
This food was worth the drive! I live in Jacksonville and i was heading home from Orlando. My mom called telling me she wanted barbecue from somewhere but that place was closed. I searched google and found this place. Even though I’d already made it to St. Augustine I decided to go back to Palm Coast. I am SO glad that I did! I think the ribs were the best I’ve ever had in my 31 years of living.
