Came a little later than usual and ordered lunch instead of breakfast.
Great decision.
Had the Ham & Gruyere sandwich and the tomato basil soup.
Sandwich was perfectly grilled and plentiful and the soup was warm, not scalding, and the basil was tasteful but not overpowering. I'd definitely order this again.“

Everything tastes super clean and healthy . Most places I get a sandwich at,the bread sits in my stomach like a rock, not their’s . Their baguette eggplant sandwich sat well . “Normally a cafe in an art space is a convenience. This is a destination. Owner Robert is a trained chef, lovely person and wonderfully creative. Best chicken salad I have ever had and I have a list of other things to try. His grilled cheese looked to die for, a Brussels sprouts salad with or sans bacon, I know where I’m eating next time I am in Dunedin. You must try it.“

She gave me some words of encouragement, then later I came back to get my buffalo wrap and thank her for her word of encouragement. It lead to a new job for me. Bottom line, her place is more than a place to come and eat. She and her staff actually care. Needless to say recommend Maggie’s hands down.“

We could be cooking for each other, big and often dinners or lunches in our own communities. We could be challenging every privately, family owned and operated eateries to be the best and worth our dollars! We'd all do better to see less chain restaurants. We do not need these places, we don't even need one. It's not even a luxury expense worth our time. We would do so much better to be together at our own places to cook and eat, from our homes to our own restaurants. Quit fast food, quit supporting the same restaurant on every corner. Quit supporting min wage employment. Quit bad food and the most generic.“
