Barefoot On The Beach

We visited this restaurant because it was conveniently located next to the Radisson where we were staying, and we were looking forward to dining on the outdoor patio with the nice view.

When we arrived, we were told we couldn’t sit outside because there was only one bartender handling all of the outdoor tables. While that was disappointing, we understood and agreed to sit inside.

Once seated, we asked the host if he could wipe off our table. He disappeared and never returned. When our server finally came over the same person who had told us we couldn’t sit outside we had to ask him to clean the table instead. He eventually came back and wiped it down.

I also want to mention the seating. If you’re a bigger person or have wider hips and thighs, be aware that the chairs are extremely uncomfortable. I tried sitting on the edge of the chair to make myself more comfortable, but after a while my legs started to fall asleep. I eventually had to sit all the way back in the chair, which was still very uncomfortable for the rest of the meal.

At the time, the restaurant was not busy. We ordered two orders of chicken wings, a side of fries, and a kids’ hamburger and fries. The wait for our food seemed longer than expected considering how few customers were there.

Another server brought out our food. The fries were fresh and hot, but both the lemon pepper and garlic parmesan wings were only lukewarm, almost cold, and so hard that we could barely eat them.

The biggest disappointment was the service. Our server never checked on us after the food was delivered. He didn’t ask how everything was, offer drink refills, or refill our water. The only time he returned was when we were almost finished eating, and all he said was that we could pay at the bar when we were done. At that point, I knew he wasn’t coming back and he didn’t.

We also noticed that our server older African American gentleman closely watching the front door so he could seat any guests who came inside, presumably to receive more tables and tips. While there’s nothing wrong with wanting more tables, good service should come first. Unfortunately, that was not our experience.

Overall, the food quality, uncomfortable seating, and lack of attentive service made for a disappointing visit. We expected much better.

Love this place! You can go swimming while you wait for your food! Best drinks on the beach. I had a pina colada with added strawberry puree and it was so good I came back the next day to get another!

Need more variety and the food was mediocre. Very expensive. Two slushie drinks , shrimp taco, ch quesadillas, and chicken tenders $98. But the pool was nice and Kimberly our server was outstanding

Food was good but didn’t like how our server Mrs Tara charged us gratuity for a party of 5 and a 2 month old baby I would have understood if she was eating but wasn’t.

Outside by the pool. Friendly staff. Great if you have kids..

Great place. Cool old fashioned beach bar with really great food. First time here and greeted with live entertainment and no wait to be seated.

Very laid-back placed with great service. Mango salsa was amazing. I got the Gulf fish tacos and while they were very tasty, the tortilla shells were extremely soggy. It was off-putting.

We love it at Barefoot

This place is not worth the price, do not go! There wasn’t really much on the menu compared to online. Anything we wanted they were out of & what was sent out to us looked like they threw it on the plate really quickly. We ordered food that was cold, should have sent it back but it’s been a long day and just wanted to eat & go home. Gratuity was automatically added, which good for them bc they wouldn’t have been tipped!

I was just there and the service was ok. They were nice enough, however I got the fish taco’s which were overly priced for just two taco's that were also tiny, came with no side, the tacos were also cold. After I pay, I leave and I don’t even make it to my car before I throw up definitely would not recommend.

Lauren is AMAZING !!!! Omg the best bar tender. Delivery of food was quick. She has the most beautiful spirit. I will definitely be back. I am so grateful I found this beautiful spot with the best hospitality ❤

I’m not sure why this place has bad reviews bc we’ve came here for two days and have had the BEST experience!! We had Dylan and Kimberly as our servers and they were AWESOME! Lauren was the bartender and she’s great!! The drinks are super yummy and we didn’t have to wait long to get them. If you have kids and want to spend a day at an awesome pool then this is the place!!! So happy I didn’t listen to the bad reviews!
