Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q

If I could give less than zero stars, I would. We have been to MANY Rudy’s…including this location last year on our trip. To say this was the worst experience we have had at a Rudys or really any restaurant is an understatement. We got there at 8am, and at 8:48 we finally got our 5 breakfast tacos. The poor girl taking orders was also having to prepare food with what appeared to be very little help from all the other staff. During this time we saw two employees at the front chatting with another for about 10 minutes, several others who seemed to be just milling around…and when we complained to the manager she made excuse after excuse including “taking care of a customer” who was obviously a personal acquaintance because he brought her Chick-fil-A. On top of all that, our food was not good. Sadly, I’d bypass this Rudy’s so it doesn’t completely ruin your opinion of what is actually a really great BBQ place.

I hate to bomb a Rudy’s because I’m from Texas and Rudy’s is our favorite however after spending over 30 minutes waiting for our breakfast tacos I can’t be silent. We wanted to end our trip to PCB with Rudy’s on our way out of town. First round of breakfast tacos were ice cold like straight out of the fridge. The second round + our friends food took more than 30 minutes to wait for. The staff was completely unapologetic and actually had attitude when we complained about the wait. Would never recommend anyone to come here after our experience

Rudy’s Country Store and Bar-B-Q is a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Texas BBQ!
We tried the brisket and the roasted chicken, and both were absolutely phenomenal.

The brisket was tender, juicy, and had that perfect smoky flavor that just melts in your mouth. The roasted chicken was equally impressive—succulent, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The Rudy’s Sissy Sauce is a perfect combination for your meal.

The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, with friendly staff who made our visit even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back for more. Highly recommend!"

We knew Rudy’s in Texas and it’s just as good here! Delicious meat (we ate the brisket), potato salad and creamed corn were also very good!! For those who don't eat much, 1/2 pound and small portions were enough for my husband and me. It's so worth it!

I have always enjoyed getting the loaded Potato with 2 meats, but I had the pleasure of trying their breakfast tacos this week. Grabbed 5 for around $15, but they were good heavy soft tacos. We got a variety of the brisket, chopped beef, bacon, sausage(not breakfast sausage btw.), and jalapeno sausage. I ate 2, wife ate one, and saved the other 2 for breakfast the next day. Again fantastic, in and out within 5 minutes.

The brisket was good but the pulled pork was probably the worst I have ever ate. It definitely had a funk about it and was just wet. Not juicy but wet.

Finally! Great central Texas styled BBQ on the Gulf Coast. The moist brisket just melts in your mouth ?. The ribs, pickled jalapenos and carrots are good too. And, I can't get enough of Rudy's BBQ sauce, dipping everything in it and trying hard not to bite my fingers off.
