We are locals, my family and I like to try and support local restaurants in our area, It was my family’s first time at Shades (April 13, 2024) and the initial reaction revived was not pleasant. Whilst the hostess was trying to speak to us, Jody-Ann or Jodiann (short haired girl with relaxed hair and glasses), proceeded to give us the ultimate disgust on her face. It seems like we weren’t welcomed (don’t know if it’s the color of our skin?) I’m appalled that was the initial reaction received, she needs training she’s not customer friendly. My family and I was most upset, we couldn’t get to finish our meals because of Jody besides her the other servers were great and the food was also wonderful!

i have been driving by this place for 4 years and finally stopped, and im glad i did, i will say this is my top 3 favorite restaurant in all Panama city. Food was real good 0 complaints the staff were awesome, i got a drink and the bartender walked over to where i was seated to ask me a question then made some small talk supper cool of them to do that. I hope they do company partys here because i would love to have my end of year party here for my company.

Service was great! However the food just was not good at all. No taste at all. Burger was bland and Philly cheesesteak had no seasoning whatsoever, looks like only melted cheese. The beers were great. Will only be back for the drinks, and the service.
