I've ordered door dash from this place and twice I have missed at least half my order. Now my kids can't eat breakfast. Ridiculous I can understand maybe one item but 3-4 come on.

The restaurant is small and tucked away right by Home Depot, but we were seated immediately and they have some nice outdoor seating as well. The food was delicious! Thick bacon, tasty pancakes, and fresh perfectly scrambled eggs. Even the cup of water was refreshing and tasted pure lol. This place was such a treat after missing breakfast at the hotel! Our waitress was attentive and kept the coffee flowing. We will definitely be back next time we're in town!

This past weekend my husband and I visited The Local Cafe on 23rd Street by Home Depot. What a fantastic restaurant! I had the meatloaf and my husband had the bbq special. All of the sides were fresh and piping hot and delicious! The mac and cheese was unusual, but a welcome and tasty rendition. Everything was so good, but the standout for me was the spinach casserole, I could have eaten a gallon of it! The staff and owner were super friendly and you can really tell that everyone there cares so much about the diner's experience!

What a gem! Don't be deceived by its location in the Home Depot plaza. We went on a Sunday and enjoyed real southern food cooked to perfection. Eggs, bacon, ham, grits, biscuits, home fries and a delicious homemade cinnamon bun. Good prices and generous servings. We can't wait to visit again.

There's not a lot of great local food in Panama City, so this place is a real gem. The Local is a small cafe with maybe 10 inside tables and a few scattered outside. It feels intimate but not too loud. The food was a true Southern breakfast. I ordered 2 eggs and bacon with grits. Usually I'm not a fan of grits, but these are by far the best grits I've ever had. The texture was perfect. My server, Jennifer, was attentive to my food allergies and ensured everything was safe for me to eat. She was kind and ensured a great dining experience for my mother, grandmother, and me. While I couldn't eat their home made cakes due to a gluten allergy, I was amazed they make them in-house and they looked delicious.
I got food for my mom. It was good per her opinion. Also bought her desert. The food was fairly priced but felt the desert was too expensive.

We went for lunch but I got breakfast-they serve breakfast till 2pm when they close -2 eggs -grits biscuit & added bacon was very good cooked eggs just right and my friend had lunch special Fried Chicken-spinach casserole-squash&onions -brown rice & corn bread. She was very pleased with everything & we will be back to try specials on a different day

This is a quant, one off sort of place with traditional southern fare that's definitely home cooked and super delicious! Service was great, the clientele very open and friendly as well. Will surely go back if we ever hit this area again.
