Food is probably over average, but it is very expensive. Plus they charge 20% service in top of that. Be ready to pay around 50 per person. This put this restaurant to compete with high end restaurants. The truth this is not a high end. I have been there a couple time, and I am not coming back.
The waitress was rude she I asked for a juice of Naranjilla with Tomate de arbol mixed she said that juices are already made and she can't sell me that so I had to buy 2 different juices when I asked her if she can't mix them for me she said that she doesn't do that like she was busy at that point my wife and I were the only people there I asked why are they putting the word habichuela on 1 of the side dishes when in Ecuador they don't use that word she didn't have an answer so I asked if they mean to say menestra she said that that's what they call it in the restaurant my wife and I ordered Bolon de Verde for appetizer which it was cold the cheese wasn't even melted so was the bolon and 2 llapingachos for entree dishes in Ecuador they serve that dish with Chorizo not a fried hot dog and a peanut sauce not melted peanut butter with water mix It was my wife first time eating Ecuadorian food she was so disappointed and me being Ecuadorian I had to apologize for the bad presentation taste and service on top of that when were done I asked for the check the waitress had the nerves to add the tip when she knew she didn't deserve it at all because of her bad customer service attitude and not being knowledgeable about the dishes she's trying serve people 137.01$ down the drain to get missed treated and rushed I would never come and eat there again but I will come and talk to the Manager

Bad service, we waited 30 minutes before someone Even acknowledge us. The lady Super rude. We ordered Chicken wings and fries. Asked the waiter to please the fries well done
She says nope no. We were like She’s joking She wasn’t joking at all, also we try to order a soup we ask Politely if we can have them removed some stuff out of the soup, She said absolutely not
She didn’t even try to be polite or try to help us
We said thanks We’re leaving she said go Goodbye like She didn’t even care.!!! Very sour taste going to Barzola’s 2 Restaurant .!! Please I’m begging you guys Don’t even try this Restaurant!!! BAD BAD SERVICE.!!! Bad customer service!!!
It's always a favorite for Ecuadorians, all the classics, careful with prices as Barzola has a reputation of not being a low-cost dining, but the food is excellent.
This time, we went for breakfast and had the Desayuna Barzola, cafeteria con Leche, topped off with an empanada de viento $31 included added gratuity.
Music/TV sound was elevated even during breakfast, smartly located in a strip mall with plenty of free parking. Update! Returned for late lunch Churrasco delicious. went back and had another fantastic meal..

Great food and service. Unfair mandatory service fee of 20% regardless of the customer's opinion.

First and last time eating here. I’m extremely disappointed. Be very careful what you order—especially if it’s something you haven’t tried here before. I ordered the sausage soup, but when it arrived, it was full of blood sausage. Nowhere on the menu did it mention that their “sausage” is actually blood sausage. I told the server I don’t eat that, and her response? “That’s our sausage,” and she refused to replace it. She said once the food leaves the kitchen, you either eat it, take it to go, or pay for it anyway. Completely unfair, especially when the menu doesn’t clearly state what you’re getting. I left frustrated, unsatisfied, and with a dish I couldn’t eat. Never going back.

Ordered for delivery UBER EATS. I wrote a note on the app for the restaurant to please send peanut sauce for our yapingachos. They sent it in a tiny plastic sauce container not even enough for one yapingacho. The cazuela had one small piece of fish
Never again this was the second try. Just horrible.

Got here at 6:40 PM Friday and they told us that they were closed. They only had ceviche for take out😒
Food is good. Delicious, actually. But I’ve waited over 20 minutes to have my water refilled or to have a check to pay my bill. Waitresses are sweet and kind, but they do not know how to be waitresses. Improving on this would take my score to a 5 star.
What a pleasant surprise! We decided to try Barzola II despite mixed reviews, and the food was simply DIVINE. The encebollado and chupe mixto were incredible, and the portions are huge! Excellent service rounded out a perfect meal. Definitely recommend!

I have eaten here at Barzola’s before, so we drove there we don’t live nearby . For appetizer we order empanada de viento, when I was eating mine I notice it was not cooked in the inside, the waitress and cook insisted it was no it was not. And she said I can’t tell the cook how to cook, my main dish was fair, but to top it off the “gratuity” was almost $18. And the only person who ate was me, since my sister order take out. Is not about the money is that they didn’t care, about how the empanada was uncook, and the gratuity was high And the service not good.
Un espectáculo de comida 🤩 todo exquisito 👏
