i ordered the “vegetable platter” thinking that a VEGETABLE platter would be vegetarian at the least.. the option was to choose a potato soup or a salad.. i choose the potato soup which had no mention of it involving meat.. you then get to choose 4 of the sides, if you look at the menu it only mentions that the green beans have pork. so i got beans and rice which i discovered had pork after tasting it as well as the potato soup.. extremely disturbing experience, our waiter was kind enough to address the problem. i didn’t think i had to tell him my dietary restrictions since i thought i was just ordering a vegetable platter. very very misleadingDietary restrictions: no vegetarian options

Well let’s start off with they told us they were understaffed when we asked for a table, they sat in the high tops where we ordered our entrees, got our food and didn’t get any silverware, the plates didn’t come with the right sauces, one order was the chicken tenders where I ordered honey hot sauce and got honey mustard instead and the other plate was the country fried steak in which the white gravy was never plated. So, we were served with no silverware, then when I asked for some he came back with two plastic to go sets ?. I asked for some real silverware and he replied oh we ran out so I was expected to cut a steak with a plastic knife! He ended up giving us some real silverware but wrapped in a paper towel. Totally disgusting! I ordered water when I got the croissants and the water never came either. So as you can guess it I’m never going back. Oh and I think we were served by a busboy instead of an actual server.

Cheddar Scratch Kitchen is just like visiting Grandma's home! Staff were quite friendly!Parking: I usually go while everyone is at work or so it seems. I therefore always find a good parking spot!

Well this was my first time here and the experience wasn’t so great. We had a large party and unfortunately our food came out so far apart that it wasn’t much of a dinner party. The only thing we all had together was the honey butter croissant. Wasn’t nothing really done to resolve the ones whom dinners came out last. Just an offer to pack it up in the kitchen. It’s disappointing and heartbreaking to see one person in particular to be so excited to come here and watch her spirit drop so drastically as she waited an hour for her food to take so long to make and still be undercooked. She waited all day for this and for what??!! To be disappointed. Not a good start and I doubt I’d be back. The service wasn’t so great. I chose the honey butter croissant as the recommended dish as it seems to be the only thing that comes out in time.
My mother and I ordered take out for dinner. We have ordered here in the past and truly enjoyed our meals. This time not so much. I ordered the roasted chicken and the chicken was so overcooked it was like chewing dried leather. My mother ordered a side of broccoli casserole and a bowl of potato soup. she said it tasted like it had been sitting for a while, not fresh at all. It is a shame because we genuinely enjoy coming here.

Very friendly and efficient staff. I ordered off the lunch menu, chicken pot pie, and a side of coleslaw, along with a half and half sweet/unsweetened tea. The food was very good. The crust was tasty and flaky with a lot of veggies and huge chunks of white meat chicken. The only reason they missed a 5 star rating on the food was because there was a noticeable amount of gristle in the meat. Not enough where it impeded my ability to enjoy the meal, but a noticeable amount. Overall, it was a great weekday lunch experience. Oh, and you are provided a delicious complimentary honey glazed crossaint!!

The food was excellent, the service was fast, it was something incredible, I recommend it and I will definitely return.Parking: It is very stealthy to go to a place and find parking and in Cheddar it was incredible I immediately found parking and the restaurant was full

Not sure what happened to this place. Haven't been there in a while but it's just not as good. Food was bland. For lack of a better description. The portion sizes used to be better. Used to get 5 strips or more, now there was 3 and pieces. Some of it was soggy. And they didn't include the sauces. Just an underwhelming return. Probably not impactful enough to return.
