I love everything about Hook & Reel! Let me start off by saying the decorations and hostess was so nice. I called my order in advance so when I arrived, there was a very short wait time. Once home my crab legs were still piping hot. There was a good amount of lemons. I genuinely can't say anything bad because everything was perfect. Thank you

This is my "go-to" cajun crab spot in South Florida. I've been numerous times, and the service and food are always great. Highly recommend.

The seafood boil is delicious especially with their special sauce and the service and ambiance is average.

All of my seafood courses very briny. Too much salt. The potatoes were swimming in a greasy butteryish liquid. Not for me.

My partner and I drove from Miami to Southport Raw Bar & Restaurant to celebrate our 10th anniversary, unfortunately our favorite restaurant was closed due to renovations, said the owner of the pressure washing lot. We had asked him what other restaurant nearby had parmesan-roasted oysters and he said Mr. Q Crab House. Simply put, we drove further north to be discriminated against. I'm still not sure if the justification was due to our gay orientation or being Latino. However, the waitress (a white lady named Judy) was intolerant. I'm flabbergasted because I tried to share a music video with my partner and she had the audacity to come up to our table without our food and tell us we couldn't watch any kind of video on our phones.

Great meal. I hadn't been there in a while. The food was fantastic. I had lemon pepper wings. Sweet potato fries, and sweet tea.

I came during lunch hour so it was very empty. There were lots of Togo orders during this time. I was seated right away. The menu is easy to navigate through but always make sure you ask for todays special as they are really well priced if you want those items. I got the hush puppies and they were pretty good, nicely fried (I was definitely craving them, anywho) and a pound of snow crab (2 clusters) with the combination sauce on spicy heat. The sauce was a different consistency and color than I expected so I was nervous but it was pretty tasty! There was a lot of sauce so I was able to dip my food in it as I broke it apart. Although I came during lunch, the music was on and created a nice relaxing vibe. With just these two items, my bill came to $44.91.

SO GOOD! It was worth it to leave the heart of Miami for quality, well made, no frills seafood. Absolutely delicious!! And wonderful staff!

Came in during the day, wasn’t too much a fan of much, they do have a nice drink special. I ended up adding my own ramen and eggs when I got home with more flavor.

Everything was fine. Make sure you check your bill before paying. They added a 15% fee for what I don't know it didn't say for gratuity. I was wondering why my bill was higher than I expected but it was too late once I realized it. I already tipped the waiter and left. I didn't check my copy til I got home ???.

We visited for a birthday celebration and we had a party of 6. We tried their oysters, chicken wings, calamari, and garlic bread as appetizers. The kitchen fried the food well done, but the fries and wings were hot. The build-your-own bag was the favorite entree at the table. The options include crab, shrimp, mussels, etc, with a choice of flavor and spice level. Half of the party were not seafood eaters, but they were able to find something on the menu to eat like chicken. The chicken poboy was really good. But I would suggest more non-seafood options like beef on the menu, though. Our service was excellent, and our server waited all the tables in the dining room. I will definitely revisit to try the alcohol drinks.
