Love this restaurant! The family loved it as well. Calm atmosphere. Service was great. Our server was kind. The food was tasty! We sat outdoors in the patio to enjoy the weather but the inside was very nice. We will definitely be returning very soon.

Absolutely love this Hook & Reel! The patio/bar area is very nice! The food is good & fresh! It's out in Disney Land, ? but Taryn is the best bartender of all time, so it's worth the drive!!!

It's dinner time & I mentioned 2the hubby that I could eat some sea food. He suggested Hook & Reel Cajun... We'd never been b4 so, off we went. For it being the dinner hour, the place was not very busy at all. Covid is still out there so, I'm ok w/that. Nobody was seated anywhere near us the entire time we were there. We ordered 2apps: fried calamari & hush puppies (10) 2share, an oyster po boy & a bowl of lobster bisque 4me (which I requested 2b piping hot), & an order of snow crab leg boil (1.25 lbs. of crab w/potatoes & corn) for him. I think crabs are 2much work 4so little food so, I don't order them but, I do eat what the hubby digs out for me. :) Gotta love him & I do. The apps arrived & yum, yum & yum. Both were delicious. The bisque arrived (but NOT PIPING HOT as requested!!! UGH!!), & it was toooo damned salty. I suppose it was a good thing the soup wasn't piping hot b'cuz it was served w/a PLASTIC SPOON!! Yes, plastic! It would have melted! All of our utensils were plastic. I don't get that & it shouldn't b allowed if soup is on the menu. Am I wrong? Our server offered me the clam chowder instead, but my thought process was: if the same person who salted the bisque salted the chowder, mayb I don't want it. She brought me the tiniest of samples, which I appreciated (I hate waste), & it was in fact tooo salty. She offered fries instead, which I accepted. I'd never had an oyster po boy b4 & it wasn't bad at all. The taters & corn in the boil were delicious, the little piece of crab the hubby gave me was tasty & the fries were HOT! Yayy & yum. When the bill came, there was no soup nor was there any fries. I'm not upset at all. Fair is fair & I would eat there again. FYI - The ladies' room was clean enuf.

There is a trend of these seafood style restaurants opening in Broward. I think of seafood as broiled salmon, sole, shrimp over pilaf or blue fish. These new places are serving a small portion of boiled food in a bag. A full meal with sides can go over $40 a person. The preparation is easy, the price is high and it doesn't feel that special. I ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer. It looked and tasted extremely familiar. As soon as I tasted the sweet and spicy sauce I realized it is from the frozen section at Costco. I don't understand why there are so many places like this, submarine crab, Juicy something. They seem a lot the same to me and none of them have many customers.

Excellent service, delicious seafood!! Many choices to pick from, and especially liked that you can create your own combinations and a choice of half or full portions!!

Tried the Grilled Shrimp and was very pleased. The family liked their seafood boils too. Good news is that kids get a free meal for every adult entree on Sundays. Bad news is the PoBoy sandwich on the Kids's Menu came with a spicy sauce on the sandwich instead of on the side. They happily replaced them but the wait was long for the little guys. It's lovely eating outside and I would be happy to eat there again.

They have the best chicken wings in the area. My daughters love the seafood boils, they also like the raw oysters. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is always really friendly.

Went to try it for the first time and for sure it will be one of my favorite places to have seafood from now on. Like the ambiance, very clean and fast service. The food was delicious, fresh and as requested and big portions. Had lobster bisque, 1/2 dozens big oysters covered with Cajun sauce and spaghetti marinara with huge shrimps and big mussels. Our server was Kalil who was very gentle and give tips to make a better choices and prompt to serve. Very satisfied and well recommend.

This place is really not great at all. The inside is beautiful. They have good staff/service and a great bar, but the experience was a complete let down none the less. Don’t go here unless you want some seriously over priced crab legs- because that’s pretty much all they have to offer on the menu.

I ordered catfish for lunch which is early in the day and it was fried in old oil. Also the catfish was so thin that each piece was all curled up, didn't even have enough meat for it to lay flat. This is NOT a place I would recommend.

Great experience at Hook & Reel. The food was amazing! Must try the steamed oysters! Ask for Nyki when you come by.

Took my family here last night and after 10 minutes there I regretted it. I should have known that it would have been a bad experience when there was only one other table being used and the employees were congregating by the bar talking and on their phone. The hostess said we could choose our seats on the patio and she would be by with the menus. 5 minutes later she arrives. Our server makes her first appearance nearly 10 minutes after that to take our drink order. I had the hook punch and my wife had the voodoo lemonade. The drinks weren't properly mixed as you could see the different ingredients stacked on each other. Not to mention they were extremely sweet. We had garlic bread and crab cakes I believe. They were fine and my oldest ordered the seafood pasta and my wife and I ordered the mussels, shrimp and crab leg boil. We also ordered the wings and Cajun fries for our youngest. When the food came instead of getting new plates she left us our dirty app plates and also left the empty glassware on the table. The seafood pasta had no flavor and the Cajun fries were just regular fries. The boil was ok, nothing to rave about. My wife ordered a Johnny Walker Black on the rocks and it came back with a lemon wedge in it. No properly trained bartender would put fruit let alone a lemon wedge in a drink like that. After finishing we waited and waited for the server to come by so we could pay. My oldest had to go find her. All the while the manager was walking around in his suit the entire time on his phone and just staring blankly into the walls and the ceilings. Never came by to say hi or check on anything. There were only two tables in the restaurant with patrons, it wasn't like the place was slammed. We had our food packed up and as we got to a car we noticed that all the bags with the food in it were leaking. So we had to go back in and get new ones and that was the only time the manager talked to us as he thought something happened. I wouldn't recommend this place until new management is in place and that the staff are properly trained. They said they were only open 3 months I would be surprised if they lasted any longer. I'm also sure Disney would want a word with them about their Captain Jack Sparrow statue out front. You're better off going to Red Lobster than this place.
