The gentleman who was hosting the front door was very rude. I had to check him because I spent $100 in the restaurant and I was waiting on my husband because he was engaging in a conversation with someone else and I was standing by the door and he said to me rudely You can go stand outside. It’s hot out there so I approach him and I let him know you don’t speak to me that way after I spent $100 in your restaurant.

Their rice is always well seasoned when it comes to their hibachi, and the fact they put the bowl on your rice is even more unique than most hibachi places I've been to. Not to mention it isn't even that crowded during afternoon/nighttime, so you don't have to worry about it too much. Definitely must if you're looking for a hibachi place nearby or just in the mood for Japanese food.

Namibia always wonderful…We have been coming for more than 20 years! Excellent food and thoughtful staff. Called for takeout last night and they were so kind! My mom couldn’t wait to tell me how wonderful and beautifully presented the food was…Thank you so much <3

It was great; I’ve been a few times but wait times are a little long on the weekend.

Very rude and disrespectful. They closed at 10:00, and they told us they could serve us if we sat down at 9:30. I went with my friends at 9:27 because we didn't have anywhere else to eat nearby. The man, I don't know if he was the owner or the manager, barely saw us walk in. He just rolled his eyes and gave my friends a dirty look. He also showed little patience with us. I understand they close early or maybe he was having a bad day, but that doesn't give him the right to lose patience with us. Working in customer service is always about being respectful to others, and that's something this man didn't do as soon as we walked in. I don't recommend it at all! Not even considering the food we couldn't eat, just the service, can I say this place is absolutely not worth it. It's better to walk a little further and go to any other restaurant! They'll treat you better there!

I really wanted to like this place, but it missed the mark for me.
The fried sushi roll was overwhelmingly coated in a thick batter that completely overpowered the sushi. I only ate two pieces and left the rest.
When the server cleared my almost-full plate, he asked if I wanted a box, and when I said no, there was no concern or follow-up.
The restaurant has a stale, outdated smell, and overall feels like it hasn’t had any updates in a long time.
It’s especially noticeable given the great Asian food options in the same complex, like the modern food hall and Korean BBQ nearby that are fresh, busy, and on-trend.
This place has potential but really needs to step it up—both in food quality and atmosphere—to keep up. My family and I will not be coming back.

Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend Nami Japanese Restaurant in Pembroke Pines—what used to be my go-to alternative to Benihana for better food at half the price has taken a serious decline, especially when it comes to cleanliness.
Yesterday, my 8-year-old cousin found a bug swimming in her soup. What’s even more disturbing is that it blended right in with the onions and mushrooms. The only reason we caught it is because she’s a picky eater—she inspects everything before taking a bite. I, on the other hand, probably would’ve eaten it without noticing.
Their onion and mushroom soup used to be one of my favorites, but they serve it in a dark brown bowl, which makes it really hard to see what’s actually in there. Sadly, it seems like even our favorite spots aren’t safe anymore.
Video and picture proof attached—just be careful, y’all.
