I'm not surprised this place has been shut down for good. I had to drop a review of the horrible experience I had during Christmas Eve 2020. I was told the Ruchi restaurant is also one of the best Indian authentic restaurant. Which is a lie, I ordered for chicken 65 med spicy and it was so spicy. I told the staff about it and he mentioned it was Med spicy. The taste was not at all like the Indian food. I don't get the idea of even charging for packed water in the name of Covid-19. But again the staff did tell me that I would be charged for the water, which was really good of him. I ordered a beer instead, however the food was not all that great. I dreaded coming to this restaurant, the food was more Americanized with no salt. No complaints about the staff very professional and polite. I believe most of the 5 star reviews are fake. This place won't last very long here and I'm not surprised it's shut down. Now moving on I visited one of the Indian restaurants in Miami and I met this server who happened to work for Ruchi long time back (I won't disclose his name). He told me the owner was a maniac and would scream, abuse and yell at them. He would even not share the tips with the employees but one of the guys he would pay him his tips. This guy by the name of Hamza was an addict and would be snorting coke and smoking blunts in the kitchen when the owner was not around. Though the owner was aware about it, he didn't take any action whatsoever. I've uploaded a pic of that man Hamza Sadiq who would be high or under substance on his job, he's even dropped a 5 star review on google. That's how they generated most of their fake 5 star reviews on google. I wish I met this person before and would like to share some pics of this restaurant that were given by him to me. I was shocked when I saw these pictures that I would visit this place not knowing the kitchen was filthy and disgusting. If only customers knew what they were eating there would be a heavy lawsuit filed against the owner.

I am so shocked by some of these poor reviews. I have dined and had carry-out on numerous occasions from Ruchi and have always received delicious food and impeccable hospitality. When I arrived with my mom, they always welcomed me like a friend. I wonder why they closed. Does it have something to do with the Covid tragedy in India? I wonder of some of these employees went back to care for their loved ones. I keep hoping they will reopen soon. God bless.

Very bad place. Don’t go there. I carried out food in April and bad stomach and then I saw news about roaches and rats infestation there that explains bad food and my family getting sick. Good thing this place was shut down

Ruchi is closed. We placed the order online and got a confirmation email and everything. Drove to the restaurant to pickup our food and there’s a sign that says “Space Available for Rent” (Good thing I selected to pay in store) this really sucks because they were really a good restaurant. Hopefully they are just moving to a new location. ??

Food is good. Unfortunately due to COVID, they no longer offer the lunch buffet, which is understandable. They also discontinued lunch prices, although the menu still shows lunch items. Be prepared to pay dinner prices.

I would rate this restaurant with 0 stars if I can. Horrible food, I had chicken wings it was nothing but tasteless, it felt like eating raw chicken skin. I also ordered mango lassi and it had a big lump inside it as if huge chicken skin was in there, it was that disgusting. I literally vomited after that!!

The food was greasy, the lentil soup tasted only of coconut milk, the chicken in the butter chicken tasted old. When we got the bill we got charged for the butter chicken even though it was not eaten and we had complained about the chicken. The server said she was unauthorized to take off the butter chicken that's why she gave us a complimentary dessert. When we asked for the manager we were told he's not available. We also got charged for bottled water even though we just asked for water. It was an unpleasant experience overall & the food did not taste good.

Food was not good. The portion size is fine, but the flavor was garbage. The chicken I ordered had no flavor and the sauce tasted only of tomato as if that’s all they grinded. No spices whatsoever. For the price, I think it’s too expensive if the food is going to taste mediocre. The rice was also nothing special. I’ve had better Indian food (Sunrise, FL has many good places). I can only say the samosas were good, but that’s the entree I was looking forward to. Most likely will not come again.

The naan was not bad, at least not as bad as the service. Were you angry I was the only customer at your place? And the fish masala was almost flavorless, how can that even be possible? It got me really scared, but then I tested negative for Covid so now I know I am being fair

We go to Ruchi Indian Restaurant a least once a month. Today 3/17/2021 the food was exceptional. You do have to wait a little but it’s worth it. Remember to help the Mom and Pop places and don’t complain if the service is a little slow. There doing there best.

Definitely NOT recommend I have been eating Indian Cuisine more than 30 years, very disappointed at the food served, the service was the worst 2 people running the business the chef, the waitress, the hostess, the food runner, bus boy all done by one person a lady that was rather rude, yes I can imagine how frustrated was for her, when you don’t have quality food then you better have supreme service but not the case we order 5 dishes they brought few at a time, owners please pay to have a chef, pay to have a waitress how do you even survive.? .. this is a real review NOT a paid review by friend or a company, worst $90.00 I ever spend. DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT ??????

Worst Indian food ever. Why are the even in business when they can't make good food. Shouldn't that be the prerequisite? We got Shrimp Madras and Malai Kofta and both of them were entirely flavorless. Also got paneer pakora that came with no sauces. First and last time here.

Need to hire a professional chef, need to hire a professional waitress, with good manners over the phone and person ??

My son and I have been craving butter chicken since we left Orlando. (Orlando has an amazing Indian place called Punjab kitchen!) so I decided to go to This restaurant to check them out. As a starter I ordered the half tandoori chicken and It has absolutely NO flavor at all! I sent it back. When the butter chicken was brought out with the garlic naan, I'm almost 100% sure that they used the same tandoori chicken and broke it up into the butter chicken. When I asked the guy he said he doesn't know. So okay, moving on...the butter chicken had again absolutely NO flavor. Thank god for salt. We were starving so once I added salt it was edible enough to just eat it. As my son was finished his food he pulled a hair out of his plate!!!! I was nauseous since I had already finished my meal. The guy still came back with the check and expected me to pay for the butter chicken. Well if it was good and I didn't find a hair then by all means I wouldn't have an issue. But I was not paying for that. I let him know when he came back for my card. He then walked away and a lady came back and told me don't worry about it, that I didn't have to put anything. The garlic naan and sprite was about the only thing that was okay. I will never come back here ever again! And I hope that this helps others from having this terrible experience. To top it all off it wasn't only me complaining, there had been people waiting that didn't get served and also another couple that asked for salt. There was only 3 tables in the entire restaurant. Completely unacceptable!

I am an Indian and I have seen some terrible Indian restaurants in this country that are an embarrassment to the rich Indian cuisine. This is among the absolutely worst. If there was a zero star, that is what it would deserve. These types of restaurants cater mainly to the ignorant and gullible Americans who are clueless about Indian cooking beyond chicken tikka perhaps. Besides totally inedible food, this place had loads of arrogance and attitude which is again common with these restaurants in the USA, specially when they deal with another Desi. It is useless to even mention what I had ordered, what in fact was served and how much of that went down the drain. My simple advise, stay away from this deplorable place.
