Uh Oh

We ordered 8 minutes ago, so we went to go get the two orders. The first person my dad spoke to could barely understand him (he does not have an accent, it was because the worker couldn’t understand english fully) when he was trying to tell them we had mobile orders. At first, the lady said there were none. In actuality, she didn’t know how to find them. When we finally got through that we had mobile orders, the lady asked for the names. The first lady started being snappy at this point for no discernible reason when asking for the names on the accounts. We pulled them up and the mobile receipts, told them the names, and showed them the receipts. However, the lady’s response to the name we were giving them, and showing them, was, “give me the name, not the payment method.” Now, I could be wrong, but our usernames don’t exactly sound like a payment method. Also, the order number is listed on the receipt I was showing them, so why couldn’t they just find it that way on their end? Either way, the place was empty, and as far as I could see, I was the only one who had an order being made. The problem persisted for several minutes until someone else, I guess a manager, came to help. It isn’t like I called for them, so I appreciate that at least.

I work at a busy customer service spot, so I know what it is like to deal with people 24/7… when it is empty, unless you’re having a bad day, what reason is there to get snappy? Especially when you’re in the wrong? I make an effort to not make customer service employees’ lives miserable since I know what it is like to deal with annoying people.

My food was alright, but the sweet iced tea they prepared for me had a weird taste. I can only describe it as chemical-like. Even my father asked if I ordered some kind of flavored iced tea and he’ll drink just about anything 💀

My Wendy’s Drive-Thru Experience November 13, 2024

Today at 2:58 PM, I had an unfortunate experience in the Wendy’s drive-thru. As my family and I approached the first window, we were asked if we were ready to order. Since we were still reviewing the menu, we responded with, “just a moment.” However, only a few seconds later, the same employee asked again “are you ready now?” When we once again requested a moment, she abruptly replied, “Well, I work on a timer.”

This response was not only unnecessary but incredibly unprofessional. In that moment, I made the decision to leave the line and take my family to McDonald’s instead. As we drove away, we noticed the employee’s annoyed expression, making it clear she had no desire to be there.

It is deeply concerning when individuals who interact with customers, especially in food service, lack the patience or professionalism expected in such a role. Rude and disrespectful behavior like this should not be tolerated, especially in an industry where customer service is so vital.

I intend to write a formal letter regarding this incident, as I believe that this employee’s attitude is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the establishment. It’s important for Wendy’s to ensure their staff are properly trained to handle all interactions with customers in a respectful and courteous manner.

They always try to upsale you. When they say no they do it anyways and try not to give you a receipt. This is criminal. I could just imagine how they exploit the elderly next door at the big century village place. This is a scam artist of a place be careful.
