The Reef is a beachside eatery known for its friendly service and delicious bar food. The staff works hard to provide a smooth dining experience, with the owner actively involved in serving, greeting, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant is famous for its phenomenal Bushwacker cheesecake and popular menu items such as the Smash Burger and wings. The Smash Burger features Gouda, aoli, spinach leaves, two burger patties, and a sweet potato/jalapeño bun, making it a favorite among visitors. Many guests also enjoy the homemade mashed potatoes and fresh green beans served on Sundays, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The atmosphere is casual and festive, often decorated with Halloween decorations or little skewers with jack-o-lanterns, creating a fun, relaxed vibe. The restaurant is family-friendly, with children often dressed in costume and playing games nearby. Despite some concerns about cleanliness inside, especially ceiling dust from roof vents, many customers find the food, staff, and overall atmosphere well worth a visit. This husband-and-wife-run spot remains a popular choice for tasty eats, cold drinks, and a laid-back experience at Pensacola Beach.
