They tell you up front, if you're in a hurry, go somewhere else because the food is cooked to order, fresh and delicious. Definitely worth the wait!!!!!

We ate outside and it was nice! Server Logan was all we could want! House salad great, baked pasta dish with a spicy chocolate red sauce. Like an Italian mole sauce. I asked for the heat to be kicked up a notch. It was great with a hot cup of coffee. Very very good and price reasonable for all it is

It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this review. I am new to Pensacola and I kept hearing about this place. Perhaps I had too high of expectations walking in, but unfortunately this place missed the mark.
For the pros:
the staff seem nice and very helpful. I was promptly escorted to the bar area where I wanted to enjoy my meal.
As for the cons:
I kept hearing the staff refer to it as slownelli's over and over as they greeted guests. I thought maybe that's a good thing, perhaps the food is worth the wait. In a nutshell, it wasn't. I ordered the chicken Parm, I figured that's a safe choice. I asked for some bread and I was given some cold soggy bread, not a great start. When the food arrived almost 40 mins after ordering it was a huge serving that could feed up to four adults I kid you not. However the quality was not there, the chicken was sliced and covered in melted cheese. I swear the chicken was boiled in water. There was no Parm crust to be found on my plate. It was served with angel hair pasta, bold choice. The pasta was overcooked and soggy. To add insult to injury it was drowning in a watered down tomato sauce that can only come out of a can it tasted so awful. I tried to pick through and eat what I could but after three or four bites I knew I was done.
I wanted to love this place but I did not. The other reviews here rave about the food. It makes me wonder if they have ever tasted authentic Italian food. Bonelli's is no where close in my humble opinion.

I regret giving this place 3 stars but my experience today ruined my perspective. My fiancee and I went here for Valentine’s day (my second time and her first time dining here). We made reservations a month in advance and were very excited to experience the wonderful food together. Unfortunately that was ruined once we arrived when the hostess informed us we were not to be seated at an actual table but instead at a bar. My fiancee asked the hostess if we could have a table and the hostess replied “we haven’t gotten any cancellations so no there won’t be any tables available”. We were both confused and shocked by the response considering we were not given any disclosure prior to making these reservations that bar seating vs. a table is a possibility upon arrival. We both decided to move on and continue to try to enjoy our Valentine’s day evening but when we were walked over to our bar seats we were further disappointed. The seating was in a very awkward and high foot traffic corner right in front of the register on the bar. We sincerely could not enjoy ourselves because it was severely overstimulating and my fiancee has sensory issues which made the experience displeasing. Every time I tried to take a bite of my food I would look up there was literally someone standing in front of me making eye contact by default since the register was right there and made me uncomfortable, my fiancee and I couldn’t hold a decent conversation due to the noise level/amount of foot traffic because of where we were seated, and after a while we asked for the check so we could leave. We didn’t want to end the night at Bonelli’s to end the way we did but our experience was not the greatest nor the expectations I had for this place. The staff themselves were wonderful and the food was delectable but hardly enjoyable when seated somewhere that clearly was not meant to be a dining area/experience. My recommendation to the business is to disclose to your consumers when making reservations on days like Valentine’s day is specify the potential seating arrangements (I even verified on the website and social media that bar seating being a possibility is not disclosed anywhere) as we were not the only ones in that same seating area that shared the same disappointment as us.

Wonderful service, almost everything made in house. They had live music, the food was pretty good, and the prices were reasonable. It is not a fast restaurant, they will tell you that up front as they are making all of the dishes in house.

Service and atmosphere on point to include staff. Food however was not what I expected, given all the positive reviews before coming to try this place. I was so excited to try this for the first time but if I wanted a taste of Pizza Hut I would have went to Pizza Hut and paid Pizza Hut prices

Went there for the first time last night with my wife. Amazing experience. Our server Logan was on point. Great suggestions, very informative about anything we had questions on. Personable and will definitely request on our next video. Started out with the Garlic Confit. Incredibly deep flavored garlic over feta cheese with some roasted tomatoes. I had Chicken parm but subbed for their rustic Alfredo with a level hot spice to it! Have you ever had spice Alfredo? No? Me neither. Now I may never be able to eat it the same way. Wife had the eggplant parm. Great texture and the red sauce tasted like the tomatoes were picked and smashed earlier that day. Again, beautiful experience. Make sure to get your reservations because otherwise you probably won’t get a table!
Home in Pensacola and decided to visit Bonelli’s while we were here. So glad we did. Sat on the patio where a wonderful musician was playing and singing. He was incredible and really set the stage for a fantastic experience. I had chicken parm, my hubby had the special macaroni and cheese and our friend had lasagna. All the meals were perfect! So delicious! Our waitress was wonderful, very attentive and got everything just right. We’ll definitely be making this a permanent stop whenever we are back in Pensacola!

Very overpriced for quality of food Very disappointing….. Taste is very basic, anybody could cook what they serve, very overpriced…. Bread taste like the one from Walmart for a dollar…… Wasted money
Menu emphasizes fresh seafood and tropical-inspired plates
