“New server” was always the excuse. “Bartender is running behind” - there wasn’t even a bartender at the bar! This place is not worth waiting 45 minutes for a margarita. Or an hour for food. Sloooowwwww. Party of 5, and they couldn’t get one order right after 3 attempts. Never again

They were much better when they were downtown. My food was greasy and inedible. My mother in laws food had no flavor. My husband's food was just ok. Drinks were weak. They tasted like straight mixer. Even tho we stacked our dirty dishes and placed them at the end of the table they were left on the table till we asked for boxes. Hopefully I can fix the food when I get home. 🤞🤷🤞

Service wasn’t bad I guess nothing wild. It was a Friday evening and it was SLOW. Which is a bad sign for a Mexican restaurant in this place downtown…. Well drinks were good. Food though.. I got the stuffed avocado with steak but the steak smelled and tasted like dirty laundry. That’s the best way I could describe it. My friend even said something smells musty when the food was being served then I realized it was me… idk what was going on but I’m too scared to try again. But…. Drinks were GOOD.

I had never been to this place before. My daughter had come into town to visit me. She was the one that found it. Our server was just a regular girl. But she had a lot of personality. She was also very knowledgeable about everything in the restaurant. Even though she was fairly new. She made sure our drinks stayed full. The food came out pretty quick. It was absolutely delicious. I even had enough left over for lunch the next day. Sometimes just the right person serving you will make your visit so well worth it. I don't remember her name. My daughter really liked her also. I will definitely be going back there the next time I decide I want to eat Mexican. Oh yeah, the parking was wonderful. We didn't have a problem finding a spot to park in. They seated us right away. If I had to pick out one thing that I didn't care for, I guess it was the refried beans. But I'm guessing a lot of people would really like them. I might be just a little bit picky. So it was a wonderful night to spend with my daughter on her last night here before she headed back to Texas. A wonderful place that we found on the internet.

I cannot express this enough…management sucks. We are down here from out of state for a family members wedding and called and reserved an area for 30 people WELL in advance. To my surprise when we arrived we were given ONE waitress who was on her SECOND night of the job and put ALONE with 30 people. I give her so much credit for what she had to do. We spoke to the manager about how we feel there was a problem because we would see other waiters and waitress sitting around table on the opposite side of the dining room playing on their phones and such and the manager just didn’t see a problem with it. We travel down here quite often and never again will we ever revisit this restaurant or even recommend to others.

I've become a regular for weekday lunch. There's a waiter there who knows what I drink and just brings it out. The daily lunch special is always well priced. The food is good, its not the best in the area for Mexican but definitely good. Chips are always fresh. And for a weekday you can easily get in and out in under and hour. It's a little cold in the restaurant but it is Florida and they like their AC.

My favorite meal to order at the Cactus Cantinas is the Gulf Coast Seafood Burrito. Usually it it filled with shrimp and plenty of grilled fish pieces. This time, however, it had shrimp but appeared to have no fish at all. If they were out of fish they should have told me and I would have ordered the chicken fajita special instead. This was a huge disappointment and we will never eat at this location again.
