“Restaurant Iron has long been our go-to destination in downtown Pensacola. Its intimate ambiance, dedicated upscale menu, and consistent quality made it stand out above any other establishment in the area. We’ve brought out-of-town guests to showcase the richness of the local cuisine, always confident that the experience—from the first cocktail to the last bite of Nutella or raspberry ganache pie—would impress. Our typical order was a ritual: shareable truffle fries, a perfectly cooked ribeye (always photo-worthy), and a decadent dessert to close. These elements, paired with the cozy atmosphere, were what made Iron so special. Unfortunately, our most recent visit on May 9 was deeply disappointing. Despite the torrential downpour, we didn’t think twice about keeping our reservation. But upon arrival, we were met with an entirely different experience. The menu, which now features sliders and sandwich-style dishes, felt more suited for a casual lunch spot than the refined dining experience we had come to love. Several signature dishes were removed, and the new offerings didn’t align with the elevated identity Iron once upheld. Even the menu design itself no longer reflects the restaurant’s original charm. Service also fell short of expectations. We were served the wrong salad, and the correct one arrived without dressing. Dessert—though eventually comped—took an unexpectedly long time to be served, rounding out an already lackluster evening. We truly hope this is a temporary shift. Restaurant Iron was once our top choice for special occasions and recommendations. But based on our last visit, we no longer feel confident choosing it for a date night or referring friends and family. Please reconsider restoring the signature dishes and experience that made Iron exceptional.“

“IF U NEED A SAMPLING OF NAWLINS THEN COME HERE! Raw Oysters 🦪 on Happy Hour, Dirt Martinis 🍸 get the NOLA SAMPLER, Bo and Kaitlyn was excellent host and server for our party of 14! Boudin Balls spice perfectly! Seafood Platter and salad was fresh and melt in mouth. Roumelade sauce tasted authentic.“

“Me and my little sister went in there Saturday morning and baby that burrito was good, had me humming while I ate. The young lady that served us was just as sweet as she was pretty, kept checking on us and making sure we were alright. And that young man at the front? Lord have mercy, that boy was handsome with a smile so bright it made my whole day. Felt like family soon as we walked in. We will be back.“

“Voodoo Q is the best kept secret In Pensacola. I lived near here for a couple of years and ate here frequently. Their seasonings are true to The culture and true to each named flavor. Come on Folks! It’s Mardi Gras season until midnight next Tues. then, we have Ash Wednesday which will be a fast day with no meat Voodoo’s shrimp and catfish are wonderful! Let the Good Times Roll! U In“

“Thank you, Nick's Boathouse, for making our daughters Sweet 16th birthday such a wonderful celebration! Y'all accommodated our every request, from holding the cake in the fridge, preparing her special requested 16oz ribeye birthday steak, to presenting her cake with lit candles... The evening/night was perfect! The atmosphere was so warm and inviting. Our waitress Alex COULD NOT have been more gracious and attentive! She is a treasure! All of our meals were spot on! From the crab cake sliders and gumbo, to the stuffed flounder and seafood platter! OUTSTANDING! We cannot thank Y'all enough for making our daughter's special day so much more.“
