Found this place by accident and what a great find!! I almost didn’t want to share because I wanted it to be a secret, but that’s not fair to Ty’s. The food was amazing and customer service like no where else. We will most definitely be back for more delicious soul food! If you haven’t tried it, you’re missing out.

A coworker suggested Family Ty’s for our team holiday party, and wow—what a win! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was on point, the food came out piping hot, and every bite was pure joy. The seafood rice? Absolute flavor bomb. And those lemon pepper wings… hands down the best I’ve had anywhere in town! Family Ty’s has officially earned a spot on my go-to list—I’ll be back for more deliciousness, no question!

It was a Friday evening at about 5:30. I had a craving for Ty's collard greens. There was a man outside who advised me Ty's was closed. We chatted for a minute, and I discovered I was speaking with the owner, Ty himself. This man noticing my disappointment, opened the restaurant and retrieved his own dinner, a delightful concoction of chicken, noodles, and vegetables, kind of asian soul food. He didn't share it with me. He served his whole dinner to me. I'm now a customer for life. The food there is fantastic and obviously prepared by kind and generous people. You have to try the fried shrimp which is out of this world and oh yes, the collard greens. Thank you Mr. Ty!

The food and the people are top tier. It is always a pleasure to ship at a place where the customer service is so good. I haven't been here and not been greeted with a smile. My daughter loves the dry rub ribs and I love the seafood rice. Everything on the menu thus far has been good. Family Ty's will stay in my rotation. They've recently lost a family member and I want to send my condolences!!!! My God keep them close to Him and provide them the comfort that they need.

Food and customer service was fantastic! Felt like I was eating at my favorite Auntie’s house. Okra was best I ever ate.

Family Ty’s catered our baby shower and it was a total hit! The chicken wings were crispy and juicy, the pan of Mac N Cheese was essentially scraped clean, and the collards were perfect! Ty and his family are so kind and we look forward to having many more meals with them!!

I was directed here by Mr. Lawrence Greene, I must admit he was on point everything was absolutely deliciousoo!! The parmesan chicken wings were amazing. He didn't try the seafood rice it's a must everything was prepared and presented well. Mr. Greene tried several restaurants in the area and I'm making the same stops to see if he got it right in our city!! Ty and his family welcomed us and treated us well, so tap in and see what the hype is all about!!

Family Ty's is the Total Package. The vibe and personal service of Ty and Family delivering 5 Star Hospitaltality. I have never had a bad experience. The pork chops, home made sides and seafood rice is my favorites.

If you want soul food in Pensacola, this is the spot. Absolutely delicious food. I got their fried pork chops, with greens and okra, and my guy got their brisket special with Mac and cheese and greens. They were both delicious but the star of the show was the ribs that they brought us to try. 🤤 OMG
I usually pass on ribs for other food but next time I go, (which will be soon!) that's what I am ordering. 10/10!
