Stopped to pick up dinner tonight and decided to also get banana pudding after I ordered. All the food was really good- but I would come back for the banana pudding specifically because it may be some of the best I’ve ever had.
Stumbled upon this place while walking around downtown Pensacola. The gumbo and fried chicken were phenomenal. I would have sworn I was in a Cajun cafe back home in New Orleans. The staff was friendly and made you feel at home. Chef Charles or Chuck as he is also known came to our table and talked with us sharing the list of great New Orleans chefs he worked with. All I can say is it was delicious.
This place is a great lunch spot! I ordered the brisket sandwich with the blueberry BBQ sauce. Every bite was flavorful, the brisket was tender, and the sandwich had a nice hint of spice. I wasn't sure about blueberry BBQ sauce but the order taker assured me it was a great combination and she was right. This was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I also couldn't finish all of it because the portion was quite generous.
