Wow! The food was delightful with depth in flavors and balance in every way. LB deserves 5 stars as he made the experience so interesting and fun. Plus we learned many things from him. The cocktails were expertly crafted and pleasing to all of the senses. The banana cheesecake was delicious and a work of art. We made another reservation to be sure we could repeat the amazing experience! Hats off to a fabulous service, culinary, cocktail and pastry teams!!!

My husband and I chose Iron to celebrate my birthday, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Every dish felt like a fireworks of flavors — creative, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The cuisine is truly special, blending sophistication with bold, memorable tastes.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, striking that perfect balance between upscale and comfortable. What stood out just as much as the food was the service — attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely top notch.

Iron made my birthday feel incredibly special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique dining experience in Pensacola.

Extremely slow service that is not worth a visit. We waited over 15 minutes for an initial bar order in a restaurant that had plenty of empty tables and service did not improve from there. Food was mediocre at best and not worth anywhere near the prices they are charging. There are plenty of other truly high end restaurants to visit that appreciate the business and avoid this dud.

I gave this place 5 stars four years ago but unfortunately I have to change the review after my last experience.
I made a 345pm reservation the day before Valentine's Day, planned to celebrate my wife's birthday and do our first gender reveal at the restaurant since we celebrated our first wedding anniversary here and loved it. We called ahead and we were assured that everything we wanted they had done before and wouldn't be an issue bringing a cake and having it there for the two of us.
Unfortunately, our server was terrible. She wouldn't stop asking my pregnant wife what kind of alcohol she wanted even after we both declined. Normally this would be an honest mistake if we hadn't brought a gender reveal cake with us. The menu was equally as disappointing, all the favorites we had before (Ceasar salad and any type of potatoes) were no longer available and our waitress had no way to fix the situation. I wish I could list her name but she never told us. She mentioned waiting an hour for the valentines day meal to be available, but when we mentioned allergies and wanting to separate food, she let us know the kitchen was too busy to accommodate that, without even checking with them, and with only four tables seated. She did ask us about how to do the gender reveal, but kept interrupting us as we explained and after we told her our plan she seemed disappointed, like we didn't meet her expectation and left to talk to another table. She kept asking us if we decided what to eat and instead of helping us figure it out she would just leave like we weren't worth the time when we still had some questions. My wife was so uncomfortable with her unprofessional and short attitude that she had to leave the restaurant before the night was totally ruined. We left with our cake before we got our food, and management couldn't be bothered to ask why we left or try to stop us. Thank you Iron for almost making my pregnant wife cry on her birthday. Luckily Jackson's Steakhouse was able to accommodate us appropriately without judgment on one of the most important days we ever celebrated.

I had a great first time dining at this establishment with my partner for our anniversary. We did not have reservations on a Friday night, but we were quickly seated with no wait at the bar and could enjoy full service and a spectacular view of the cocktail bar and open kitchen. We ordered the foie gras pb&j, filet mignon, and braised short rib. I had the sage against the machine mocktail, and my partner the rosy cheeks. We both preferred my drink. The pb&j was so unique and well thought out with a cinna-milk shooter served alongside. My entree, the braised ribs, were so full of flavor. Our service was expeditious despite the packed restaurant, and every employee was kind and welcoming. The only reason the atmosphere received a 4 out of 5 stars is because it was nondescript compared to the food and service!

Came here for my anniversary. Had a fantastic time. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended drinks to pair with foods and then the foods itself. Everything wonderful. It came highly recommended and I will also highly recommend it to others.

Nice, cozy place. Late lunch was perfect. There is a regular menu and a lunch menu (before 3?). We met a couple friends of ours (1st visit for both!) and had delicious meals. Prompt, friendly service and fresh food. Hard to beat. This place will be in our monthly rotation for sure

Welcomed graciously by host who prepped a special menu for my daughter with Happy 14th Birthday printed on the bottom. We had the escargot with gnocchi, foie gras pb&j, and short rib dumplings. All dishes were beautifully presented at perfect temperatures!

I've eaten at restaurants all over the world—from Michelin-starred spots in Europe to hidden gems in New York, Tokyo, and everywhere in between—and I can honestly say that **Restaurant IRON** in downtown Pensacola stands at the absolute top. The food here is exceptional, innovative, and flawlessly executed every single time. Their Southern contemporary cuisine takes local ingredients and elevates them to something truly extraordinary. Dishes are creative yet comforting, perfectly balanced, with flavors that linger in the best way possible. Whether it's the appetizers, mains, or desserts, everything is top-notch—some of the best I've ever tasted, period.

What makes the experience even more special is the incredible team. **Brett** behind the bar is a master—his cocktails are creative, perfectly crafted, and add such a fun, elevated layer to the meal. He knows exactly how to pair or surprise you with something memorable. And **Amber**, the manager (and wine director extraordinaire), runs the show with warmth, knowledge, and seamless professionalism. She makes sure everything flows beautifully, from recommendations to little thoughtful touches that turn a great dinner into an unforgettable one.

The ambiance is elegant yet welcoming, the service is impeccable, and the overall vibe feels special without being stuffy. If you're in Pensacola (or anywhere nearby), do yourself a favor and go to IRON. It's not just one of the best in the area—it's world-class dining right here at home.

I can't recommend it highly enough. Truly outstanding in every way.

My boyfriend and I have been eating here for our special occasions since we first started dating 4 years ago. We started on our junior prom night, now we are 20/21 and still love it! We made a reservation for our 4-year anniversary, and it was an amazing experience. They made us CUSTOM menus that we got to take home! Our server was amazing, attentive, knowledgeable and overall great. I recommend to everybody I know.

Food is absolutely fantastic!! Jim and Danielle are our two top servers. They are so fun to talk to and we always look forward seeing them. Cocktails are incredible. We invited friends from Mandeville,La to this place and they loved it and said they will come back.

Iron is an absolute must-visit for anyone in Pensacola. From the moment we arrived, the experience was elevated by our server Danielle, who was truly exceptional—a consummate professional who made our evening memorable. The escargot was outstanding, prepared to perfection, and the bacon old fashioned was an inspired cocktail choice that delivered on both creativity and flavor. These standout dishes showcased the kitchen's attention to detail and commitment to quality. In a city with growing culinary options, Iron distinguishes itself as something special. Whether you're a local or just visiting, don't miss the opportunity to experience what makes this restaurant a rare gem in Pensacola's dining scene.

Amber is the best server, so kind and attentive to customers. We will come back to see her.
