I hate to give this place a bad review because we’ve enjoyed it every other time we’ve been. However this time (11/1/24 6:30ish) really put us off. We sat outside among 3 other occupied tables inside had 3 tables as well all with food already. The server (young kid, curly dark hair) complete dismissed our presence. We sat waiting for what seemed to be about 30 plus minutes without him acknowledging us. I walked inside and asked if we could just put in our order. The kid replied “I will get to you when I have time and I have no time for you now”. Granted 3 tables had food. The other 3 tables outside had no food and he wasn’t tending to any of us at all. A couple walked inside sat down after all of us and he jumped at the opportunity to help them. This is 30 plus minutes after we sat down. My wife and I were frustrated at this point and just left as well as the two other tables next to us. This kid needs to be taught how to do his job properly and be efficient and effective So you guys don’t keep losing money like this and so your customers leave happy and full (not hungry and frustrated, like we did) I likely won’t be coming back as this really turned me off the whole establishment!

I got the Calamari with cocktail and ranch and it was hot and crispy! I tried the Hawaiian burger with no bun and it was amazing the burger was juicy and filling and my mom tried the fish tacos. The fish was crispy hot and great portions. I will definitely be back 😊

A lot of times, places by the beach aren’t the best… most are over priced and the food is mediocre. The islander food shack is NOT that. Food is great and tasted fresh! Service was friendly and attentive. Overall, 10/10. Highly recommend!

This was our second visit while in Perdido Bay for a couple of weeks. The fries and okra were fresh and phenomenal! The fried oysters from the other day were the best I have ever had! The white fish tacos had the best flavor! I recommend this mom and pop local place to everyone!!!

Great food, excellent people, perfect beach ish location. Great place to pickup some excellent food and enjoy paradise.
The pro tip of any trip is this: Stop at the small food spots that have locals walking up to it.
This place was killer. We went for lunch, and definitely caught the lunch rush- packed on a Wednesday is a good sign . OG gumbo, mahi fish tacos, and , holy hell- the sweet potato TOTS.
I left so happy, and I think about those tots every dang day since we got home from our trip.
Get lunch here, be super nice to the people working there, and just hang out and have a good meal.

Grilled grouper platter was good but definitely not worth the price as the portion was like a child's plate.. charged $2.50 extra for turnips as one of your 2 sides ????? . Seafood platter was good but failed to include my cole slaw. Be sure to check your to go orders.. Will not be back for close to $50.

Went in tonight and they were understaffed and super busy. Me and a friend almost walked out due to this however the waitress that was there was super sweet and all smiles even with all the stress she was under. We decided to stick it out and the food was excellent and worth the wait. I wish I would have gotten then waitresses name but she was dark headed and had tattoos. Will definitely be back again.

Went in hopeful but with low expectations … It’s the end of August, on a Sunday at lunch time, and it wasn’t busy. The service was great, shout out to Tammy! And the food was excellent. The burgers were tasty, fried chicken sammich was huge. Even have N/A beer selections. You’re at the beach guys, have fun, eat good food and enjoy life!
