Ordered roast beef on a croissant. It wasnt real roast beef. Exactly like 2 THIN slices deli beef so thin you could probably read thru it. $14. Acoustics are horrible. Crowded & noisy. My friends had the champagne chicken salad & loved it.

I had been hearing about the chicken salad at Jo's so my friend and I decided to stop by one day. But first, let me tell you about the atmosphere. The restaurant is located in what I can only describe as an oasis of beauty and tranquility known as DUH. There is also a retail store and furniture store located there. The grounds are reminiscent of maybe a beautiful place in Europe, I just love it. Please make an effort to visit if you're ever at 9th Ave and Wright St.The restaurant is small and intimate, with a bar and it's quite lovely. We were seated quickly, I would recommend a seat in the room to the right as it's a little removed from the front door and a little more intimate. We started off with cups of really delicious and well seasoned gumbo and I decided to order the salad sampler which consisted of a scoop of chicken salad, tuna and egg salad. It also came with a slice of poppyseed bread that was divine and you can even purchase a whole loaf. The chicken salad was everything I heard about, delicious with just a hint if sweetness from apple chunks. The tuna and egg salads were also first rate. My bestie had a chicken salad sandwich and a side salad and she was very pleased. But, let's talk about the bread pudding. Ohhhh my, it was Heavenly! It was soft, warm and it melted in my mouth. I had the whiskey sauce and my friend ordered the amaretto sauce and we both ordered extra to go, it's that good, probably the best I've EVER tasted! Don't pass it up! Service was spot on, we never had to ask for a thing! Jo's is also a perfect spot for a baby shower or bridal shower, it has a very feminine touch. Do yourself a flavor and gooooo!Parking: Parking is limited, the lot is small.

If variety is the spice of life, their variety must = salt and more salt. I ordered the champagne chicken salad and a cup of gumbo. This was not gumbo. It was salty okra and rice soup, mostly broth (because that's what it is). I was so excited to try this because the menu is Norma's. This is not that. I was fairly shocked at the food handling practices in this place. Servers are making the food, handling cash, etc., and I never saw anyone wash their hands (I ordered to go). Service was not bad but not pleasant. Poppyseed bread (OLD and stale) and the gumbo both went into the garbage. If you like a dash of straight canned chicken (not even chopped, straight from the can), mayo, sugar and apples, then this place has the chicken salad you've been looking for. $20 lunch wasted (no beverages, to go). However, fwiw, there wasn't a long wait for my order at all.I will not be back.

Very good food. It was a bit loud, but it was probably due to the place being small. Would visit again.

Jo is rude and arrogant and I'm sure the kind and humble Norma would be disappointed in her actions. I booked my daughter a breakfast with Santa spot 5 weeks in advance. The cost was $76 for 2 adults and 1 child. My husband unexpectedly passed away a few days before and I was unable to take my daughter but I still wanted her to experience it and find some joy in the season. I had a friend take her little girl and my daughter so the cost would be $57. When they arrive, they were told there was a problem with the reservation (overbooked) and would have to sit outside. It was a fairly cold and windy day and the girls did not have coats. Did my daughter still have a good time? Yes. Did they give 20% off the price? Yes. That's nice, right? The problem came when Jo returned my call 4 or 5 days later and was so rude. She was immediately ready to lash out and not listen. I even tried to intervene in her rant at one time and she said, "You'll let me finish." She went on to compare the loss of her father in law at Christmas to my 6 year old losing her father. My mom and I have been regulars since Norma's (now known as Jo's) was in Cordova Mall but I don't like ugly and neither does God. When I finally was given permission to speak, her tune changed but the damage was done.

Jo’s is a favorite lunch spot to frequent in Pensacola! The soup of the day is always delicious paired with the chicken salad sandwich. And the whiskey bread pudding is the best! Jo and her staff are always friendly and prompt. This place couldn’t get any better if they tried.

I absolutely LOVED my visit to this place. The environment was so lovely and inviting. All of the staff were super accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed the variety of food available and the attention to detail. We especially enjoyed the bread pudding, strawberry shortcake, and creamy chicken veggie soup. It was super yummy and plated beautifully. This was my first experience and was treated and felt like a regular. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in the area guaranteed! 12/10 recommend. Kid-friendliness: My daughter had the Jr. Bloomin kids meal which was beautiful and tasty. Toddler approved ✅
