Terrible place, the food gave me horrible diarrhea and I saw some cockroaches, I don't recommend it. Their taqueria on Pensacola Blvd, the service is not bad either and they give you what is not bad.

Hands down my favorite place to eat and relax in town. The owner and staff are so friendly, the food is amazing, and they have incredible events with a very cool outdoor space. Kid and pet friendly. Come relax, enjoy great authentic cuisine, enjoy the atmosphere, and all the amazing people.

One word!!!! Delicious!I was bored one day at lunch and I just started going through Pensacola restaurants on Yelp one by one, page by page and I ran across La Cabana Marisqueria. Since there is no Mexican restaurant in Pensacola that specializes in seafood (that I am aware of), seeing them made me excited. So first for those who do not know me, I will kick a dead dog from the front door of a place I know to have good food. I will cross to the wrong side of "the tracks" to get my hands on it too. We have been the only people of European decent in many places we have gone. We have received stares from many a person who's nationality matches the food offerings of the restaurant. When they see we love their food, order the same things as them, and then devour it, we usually get a smile or even a nod of acceptance. We are thankful that someone from where they are from decided to serve food in this country! La Cabana is no exception. It is a little rough looking on the outside, but on the inside it is quite clean and well decorated. It's pretty even. The food? Oh yeah........ It's the BEST part of this long-winded story! It's DELICIOUS!!!!! We started with chips and salsa and with the Queso Dip Con Cameron (shrimp cheese dip). The salsa is a verde salsa (green) and it is probably the best salsa I have ever had in my life! The queso is a bit sharper than we are used to and also delicious! It actually has a lot of flavor, unlike the usual mostly flavorless queso blancos elsewhere in this town (settle down y'all, there are other exceptions). The Huevos Del Mar (Sea Hush Puppies) are super light, tender and filled with seafood! Fantastic! The dipping sauce is a must! For our meal we ordered the Small Island Tray. It had 4 empanadas; two shrimp and two fish. It also had Ceviche, Shrimp Ala Diabla, Fish Tiritas, a Fried Filet of Fish, Fried Rice and French Fries. Unbelievable! We knew we would not be eating all of it, but we didn't have dinner plans or food for dinner either. The dough on the empanadas was super crispy, and shattered like glass when you bit into them. The ceviche was very citrusy and some of the best we have eaten. The fish was crispy and delicious. Even the Shrimp Ala Diabla was good even though it was a bit sweet. We did the tray thing for ease of ordering, but we will be back to try many other things on the menu. If I had any constructive criticism it would be that there was too much ice in the Sangria, the pours were small and they were super weak. I will say that the server seemed to be new and said he didn't know how to make a drink I asked about. Perhaps they pour a shot of brandy into the sangria? I have seen that before. Look, just go! I mean now......

Got to try a few different menu items over two visits. First time I went I had the shrimp empanadas and chips & queso. The empanadas were delicious and a very unique style. And for the first time, compared to any other Mexican restaurant I've been to, I enjoyed their house SALSA more than the queso, it has such a distinct flavor! On my most recent visit, I ordered the hushpuppies and the coctel campechana (mixed seafood), both of which were delicious. I finished the meal of with a house made tamarind juice which was awesome! Will be back again and again!

A hidden gem. Thrilled to find a seafood restaurant with an Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo menu. Met the owner and her daughter- gracious and so welcoming. My daughter, son-in-law and their Zihua houseguest invited me to enjoy the tasty offerings from Mexico's Ixtapa-Zihuatanjo region.
