Grimy dive bar that has terrible service, read the reviews decided to give it a try. What a clown car. Tiny, cramped with a the staff wearing kilts in an Irish bar. Fine Twin Peaks predator vibe, but the food must be good? Sadly I will never know after waiting 10 minutes for a bartender to appear she promptly looked at me turned away and started chatting with a customer at the bar. Ok I will wait she must be behind, nope after 5 more minutes of being ignored I left. As a person who travels for work this nonsense is unacceptable. It may fly in this "beach bum" heavy vibe of a city, elsewhere not so much. The food may be excellent but the awful service and slacker vibe are not worth the trouble.

Every time my family and I come to Pensacola, McGuire’s is a non-negotiable stop and it never disappoints. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere wraps you in Irish charm and good cheer. This visit, we were serenaded by someone singing all the classics with that unmistakable Irish flair, adding a joyful soundtrack to our evening.
The food? Absolutely exceptional. We ordered a ribeye, New York strip, fillet, and I had the white fish, each dish cooked to perfection. The flavors were rich, the portions generous, and the service was attentive and friendly throughout.
And of course, no trip to McGuire’s is complete without leaving our mark, stapling a signed dollar bill to a special spot on the wall, a tradition that never gets old.
If you're anywhere near Pensacola, do yourself a favor and stop by McGuire’s. It’s more than a meal. It’s an experience filled with laughter, music, and memories. Highly recommend for a great time with family or friends!

My friends and I had a wonderful dining experience. Our server, Michele was attentive, warm, and welcoming. Seriously, one of the best servers I’ve ever had! She told us about the October food and drink specials, and thought of everything we needed, without having to ask! Food was delicious and plentiful. You will not leave this McGuires hungry, that’s for sure. Wait was short and parking was easy. Don’t skip the $.18 Senate Soup and get ready for a great time

I had the shrimp and chips and bean soup. The shrimp were average, not sweet, in fact mainly salty. I don't like sweet slaw so that was a flop. The bean soup and black bread were good. My waiter was good and attentive and I liked the style of the place. I would return but maybe try Irish stew, steak or something else.
