Went on 6 April as a date night. Ordered the Mac and cheese Gnocchi, the chicken piccata, and the seafood special plate which was a snapper dish, filled bye the crème brûlée. The service was fast, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was quaint! Would go back and recommend to others!

Favorite dining spot in Pensacola. The seafood specials never disappoint, and you can get a decent steak without going broke. Service is always pleasant and efficient with an atmosphere of local comfort sans touristy noise. We always look forward to the next visit!!

dinner ruined by the wait. we sat and waited for the waiter for a very long time and we weren’t even offered a drink, we just sat…and we had to leave because if we waited for the waiter for 30 minutes and no one came to us, then how long would we have to wait for the food….

My husband took me here for my birthday. We enjoyed some share oysters Rockefeller, house salads and their delicious, prepared to our requested doneness, Rack of Lamb. The apple crisp dessert was lovely. Always enjoy the food and ambiance at O'Brien's Bistro!

Terrible food! It was literally some of the worst tasting food I've had in Pensacola.Started with the french onion soup, very salty, tasted like dales steak marinade.Baked brie was gross and was not an enjoyable appetizer at all.For my entree, I got the mixed seafood grill on spaghetti. The scallops were ok, but the fish and shrimp tasted like chlorine. I didn't think it was possible to make spaghetti taste bad, but mine was lacking so much flavor. I was in disbelief. My wife ordered the daily special that wasn't listed on the menu, coconut scallops as her entree, and the waitress forgot to inform us that it was an appetizer. When the meal was delivered, we were very confused but didn't say anything because the food was just so bad that we wanted to get out of there asap. The fresh bread was really good. Everyone was really nice. But again, the food was terrible.

This was probably the worst food I've had in Pensacola. The chicken parmesan was dry and tasted microwaved, the pasta was very overcooked, the grouper tasted strangely like Mahi Mahi and also tasted microwaved, and the portions for the prices seemed small. The overall atmosphere was odd, as the person who greeted us was rude and sarcastic, and the resteraunt was noisy. Although our waitress was very attentive and polite, the overall experience felt like something out of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares.

The best thing we had was the BBQ shrimp, even though it wasn't traditional. The scallops special was good, but a little undercooked. The chicken piccata was tough to chew and the vegetables were flavorless seemed like they were cooked in a microwave. My stuffed and baked grouper came out piping hot, but looked like it sat for a while, so it was definitely microwaved. Also wasn't fresh gulf grouper, It was not large flaky pieces like a fresh grouper filet is. It's my favorite fish and I get it often. It honestly seemed more like mahi mahi. I hope they aren't trying to pass mahi off for grouoer. The best part of the dish was the spinach. Also ordered a side of risotto that just tasted milky, No flavor otherwise. Probably won't be back anytime soon.

Usually consistently very good food was NOT. Onion soup was cold brown water with hard unknown cheese topping and soggy slice of store bought bread. Caprese salad was a joke. Main courses were tasteless. Been going there for years for good dining experience. Not any more.

Seems like a huge turnover of staff has happened. With time I think it will get better but I miss the long time bartender they had and the older gentleman who use to work the door. Our food was good, I had the Fettuccine and my sister had the park crusted scallops and both dishes were delicious. Our waitress was super nice but she obviously was given too many tables to handle. But she was friendly and we were patient. We will be back but please train your bartenders to know how to make better mixed drinks.
