We went there Sunday afternoon for a birthday party. There was about 20 of us (someone had called ahead to ask them if they could accommodate us). There was one server, Allie. She was phenomenal. Such a hard worker! And the food was so good. Loved the pulled pork and the brisket. The chef was great! Highly recommend for a good BBQ!

Where do I start, understaffed, food over cooked, food undercooked, sides have no taste. My children’s Mac n cheese taste like noodles with milk, drove past this place for years and decided to stop today, ima keep driving by, if you guys actually like the food either you’ve never had good BBQ or you had a different crew, have a good night!

I absolutely loved everything about this place! It was wonderful, and my family loved the food. Staff was so sweet, and the woman running the bar and taking our order made me feel so overjoyed to be there eating and enjoying my time. I ordered the brisket and some ribs- absolutely glorious! Also, tried fried pickles for the first time and OH MY GOD, I was in love!! I'm definitely ordering again whenever I can, 100/10 would come back with some friends and family!

This was our first time eating here and the food and service was really good. My husband and I both had the St. Louis style ribs which came with 2 sides each. We got the Mac and cheese, potato salad, and baked beans. The potato salad was nothing special was wasn't bad. The Mac and cheese and baked beans were both good. The portions were big and the prices were even better. $16 for 1/2 rack of ribs which were nice and big abd two sides with garlic bread is a really great price. We both ate 2 ribs each and were full and needed to go boxes. The service was also really good. Our server was really pleasant and nice. We never had to ask for anything. We will definitely be back.

Been looking for good bbq. This wasnt it. Brisket was dry and tasted microwaved. Sausage was cold and lacking flavor. Coleslaw was sour. Mac n cheese was noodles with so little cheese sauce it was dry. Potato salad had more mustard than potatoes and was like slop. Sorry I didn't get a pic. Table was sticky. Back to Sonny's BBQ I guess.Ps. The fried pickles and sweet tea were good.

We are in Florida for spring break. Our youngest daughter has just been diagnosed with Celiac and it has been very frustrating to find a restaurant that specializes in gluten free! Well Pensacola smokehouse went above and beyond! We decided to visit Sunday afternoon, they were extremely short staffed ( they were very up front about the Wait time) , letting us know it would be an hours Wait. We had nothing else to do except wait for the storm to pass so we decided to wait. BEST decision of our life! The head chef was gone, no waitresses but one, one female bartender and a guy bartender and a restaurant full of customers. They were so personable, helpful, and were so apologetic over our wait, I actually started feeling bad for them. We ended up getting our food and OMG it was the best food we have eaten all weekend! We couldn't ask for a better team on helping us with the gluten free issue. They made sure they did not cross contaminate anything! Our youngest had the Barrancas potato with pulled pork..... She couldn't finish it all! She wanted to try the Mac and cheese so bad because one of our other kids got it... The next thing I know, the girl bartender brought her out a lil sample of the gluten free and completely made her day. As stressed as the staff was, they never showed it, they took time with our large family, and made us feel like we the only ones there. They had to close early because they had no help .... They ended up closing while we were still eating.... Never once rushing us at all! They explained the owner has Celiac and she makes her restaurants celiac friendly...... Wow! We are trying her other restaurant tomorrow.... Can't wait for the food there either. The three employees we had today made the trip so worth while Everytime we are in Pensacola we will have at least one meal there. We had the pulled pork.... Best I have ever eaten! We had the smash burger... My daughter raved about it .. in fact she Gulped it down before we got our food half way gone! One had the chicken strips and they are the largest I have ever seen! Never once let our drinks get empty, and the appetizer of the pork skins and beer cheese..... Definitely scrumptious! Thank you Pensacola Smokehouse for making our trip so memorable! You have lifetime customers now!Dietary restrictions: Celiac disease which means no gluten or any type of cross contamination with gluten.... They completely made that happen!

Food inconsistent. Once went for dinner and everything was great and fresh. Went a few days ago for dinner and the ribs were dry, cold, hard. It also took what I perceived to be 25 minutes with barely anyone in the place. The server/bartender never asked how the food was. I would have sent it back but I swallowed my pride (and food). Would send it back if the food came out like that again.

Almost everything is available gluten free and they also have a dedicated fryer which is very helpful for someone who has celiac. My husband who has celiac was able to try cheese curds, fried pickles, and homemade pork rinds. They even had gf cavatappi pasta for the Mac and cheese with gf beer cheese. Our son had the fried chicken sandwich which was very good. It was tossed with garlic herb sauce and served with pickles. The Mac and cheese could have used just a little more seasoning/salt. My husband had the half rack of ribs with bacon baked beans and potato salad. The only downside was the ribs were pretty dry. The waiter was very attentive.

If you plan on having a party, make sure you ask for Brandon to be your server and bartender. He has an awesome upbeat personality and he is highly entertaining.

I didn’t even get to try to food because the service was awful… I really wanted to like this because of the reviews but from the moment we walked in it was off. The tables were dirty, no silverware, no menus, and extremely slow. I told my husband we can wait it out but the moment the waitress came over to poke my three month old and wouldn’t stop once we nicely asked her too we packed up and walked out.

Excellent food! We shared the Sweet Meats which was enough for at least 3 people. Includes 5 smoked meats , 4 sides and 2 pieces of bread. Best ribs ever! All meats were lean and tender with great smoky taste. Sides were good too! Had collards, mac and cheese , baked beans and potato salad. All very tasteful. We had a party of 12 and everyone loved it. We will return!

Calling all meat lovers!????The Pensacola Smokehouse offers a variety of smoked meats and sides for all taste buds!Atmosphere: Located where South Market used to be, the restaurant is snuggled in downtown just a few blocks away from Palafox! They have indoor and outdoor seating with a cozy interior and a beautifully lit up exterior!Service: The waitress that was serving us consistently checked up on us, answered questions about the menu, and was attentive in taking care of us!Menu items: We got The Pursuit of Meat Sweats which is the perfect choice if you’d like to eat for two and try a little bit of everything! The tray comes with five different meats, four sides, two slices of garlic bread, and sauces on the side! All of the meat selections were tender and smoked to perfection. The menu overall is fairly simple: appetizers, sandwiches, a salad, BBQ platters, sides, and desserts in addition to three different BBQ sauces, so you can get a sauce flight to try with all of the meat! There are also serve a lot of gluten free options!
