I've been a regular customer at this cupcake shop for a while because the cupcakes are usually soft, fresh, and delicious—exactly what you'd expect when you're paying close to $5 per cupcake. In the past, I've always been happy with the quality. However, on a recent visit, I was given a cupcake that was noticeably firm and dry. I brought it right back in, and to their credit, they replaced it with one from the rack in the back that was perfectly soft and fresh—back to the quality I'm used to. Unfortunately, it happened again during my most recent visit. I was given another dry, firm cupcake (a blueberry one this time), and since I had already left and traveled too far, I wasn’t able to return it. It was disappointing, especially considering the price and how consistent the freshness used to be. At this point, I’ll probably start asking for cupcakes from the back rack just to make sure they’re fresh. I’m not sure why the ones up front have been dry lately, but it’s happened twice now, and I hope it’s not becoming a trend. The shop still has great cupcakes when they’re fresh—I just hope the consistency improves moving forward.

We gave the cake artist creative freedom on decorating a roller skate theme caked. The only thing we did specifically talk about was a fondant skate and her name in fondant. Neither of those happened. The cake was beautiful however the writing of our daughter's name looked like it was rushed and didn't fit the artistic creativity of the other parts of the cake. If I didn't have the cake topper, I would have never known this was a 5 year olds roller skating party.
Yes, I gave creative freedom but we did go over roller skating pictures on Pinterest of different cakes and I paid $90 to have decorations of roller skates on there in fondant.

I have went into small cakes several times & have been very pleased each time. The cupcakes have been delicious & same with the cake pops! My only concern is there hasn’t been a manager or supervisor durning the daytime hours, so whenever I have ran into a problem it was hard to get it solved. I also would love to touch base on their little gift shop, it’s always super adorable & they normally have things for each holiday. I’ve been waiting to see if they will be putting out fall or Christmas items so I could get a few for my wife. Overall, small cakes is really my go to place. 10/10 would recommend.

Wonderful experience! The cake looked amazing, and tasted even better! After reaching out to multiple bakeries, small cakes was the only one to respond promptly and show interest in making my promotion special. It was exactly as I had hoped!

We ordered our son’s birthday cake & some gluten-free cupcakes, all Dye-Free. She did a phenomenal job! We actually bought some of the cupcakes displayed when we dropped off the organic dyes & cake decorations, so we knew this cake was going to be a huge hit at the party. My husband got the hostess cupcake & I got a cannoli cupcake & omg… enjoyed every single morsel. Chef’s kiss! Eeeeeeveryone kept asking where we got the cake from & apparently the GF cupcakes were good enough to fight for Lol This will be our official cake place! Thank y’all so much for taking care of our special needs for our little one’s birthday.
