I'm in Pensacola by way of Tampa. Tampa is known for having some excellent taco spots (including food trucks), so my expectations were high. I ordered take-out from this little food truck called Tacos Mexicanos in East Hill this evening. Everything was authentic and top shelf: the tacos, the sauces, the guacamole, the chips, and the service. Five stars all around.
I actually came here because my regular taco spot was closed. Really craving tacos and took a gamble. I was very pleased with this place. I got the Birria tacos and they were delicious. The meat was tender, the tortilla had a bit of a crunch to it, and the sauces were perfect. I couldn’t get enough! Super flavorful. I will definitely be going back, and those sauces were so so good!!
After the mostly glowing reviews I was looking forward to fresh tasting tacos with cilantro flavor, onions, etc... What I received as a taco was not even a 1/4 full of anything. Mostly what I tasted was the corn tortilla. The burrito was overly filled with rice rather than their other promised ingredients. I was left feeling beans and rice were used as "fillers" rather than providing enough of the other ingredients. Service was ok, late to open (we were asked to...
