First time and last time. Should of left when we walked up to the hostess stand. They were all sitting around on their cellphones. Acted like we were completely bothering them. Then there was our waitress, D. What a ray of sunshine she was. Acted completely mad when my wife asked a couple of questions. We were going to eat but decided to go elsewhere. Maybe the food is good, we will never know. The service is completely lacking.
5* great food awesome service. do yourself a favor visit the oar house get the hushpuppies appetizer and thank me later
our waitress was excellent we brought our residents out to Florida from Oklahoma to give them an experience outside of a facility and we had a blast Our waitress was patient understood them and made sure they had the best time they LOVED the food
The food was GREAT!!! The overall atmosphere was family friendly. Would gladly recommend to anyone wanting to eat close the boat ramp bay and enjoy a few beers.
The food was hot and delicious. Not a big seafood person but this was good
What a COOL place to eat with REALLY GOOD food and stellar service. We had the BEST server of our whole vacation, at this place. Everything we ordered was fresh and the questions I had about the ingredients were met with a simple response rather than a funny/annoyed/judgey look like most places give me. The vibe is a little server hut meets wharf with a ton of really unique pieces of decor jotted all over the walls and ceilings. You seat yourself and someone just comes to server you! There's a also several bean-bag toss games set up outside to play while you wait for your food, the bathrooms are all covered with John Hancocks but nothing negative or profane that we saw. There's tables, and high tops and big, open views (like actually open-no windows) overlooking all of these boats, sailboat, yachts in the water, below. Don't worry about heat-there are double ceiling fans running all over the restaurant and we also had an outdoor breeze coming in to compliment those so we were nice and comfortable. They also have a fantastic little story of the mascot of the place on the menu (read it-you'll like it)!
Great food. We had one of our orders messed up but our waiter handled it promptly and got it taken care of. The food was great but the service was even better.
One of our favs! Oar House is so good and not terribly expensive. Their gator bites are delish.
Give them a try!
Always enjoy eating here!!
Great atmosphere and service.
One of the best seafood locals in Ptown. Great food and location.
Restaurantji Recommends
Great restaurant with indoor and outdoor sitting and live music sometimes. We had the shrimp and grits. It was amazing and had quite a few shrimp in the dish. Service was wonderful.
Tammy was lovely!
We had mahi sandwich’s blackened. Fish was fresh, veggies were fresh and crisp, fries were crispy, cheesy grits (try them). 10/10
Our daughter also loved the grits and grilled cheese
I had a great experience at The Oar House! The service was excellent. Our server, Logan, was amazing. He’s one of the best servers I’ve had in a long time. That really says a lot! The food was also delicious. I ordered the mullet basket with hush puppies and fries. The tartar sauce tasted fresh and really good. We also tried the gator bites, and they were awesome! I would definitely recommend this place if you’re ever in the Pensacola area.
I love this place! It's one of my favorite go-to local places to eat. Food is excellent, staff is always friendly, attentive, and awesome. Great drink selection. Awesome views while you eat. What more could you ask for?
Second time here. Wonderful food and service!! A great restaurant on the water in Pensacola!
