The Rex is my go to spot for coffee every morning. The drinks are always on point, the staff are super friendly and very good at what they do and I love that it’s just a short walk from my apartment. Couldn’t ask for a better way to start the day!
My wife and I were on vacation in Pensacola and stopped by this cafe. It has a great vibe, the staff was super friendly and attentive, and the prices were extremely reasonable. Not to mention that the brewed coffee, latte, and muffin we had were excellent. Definitely a place to visit if you are visiting or a routine hangout if you live there.

The Rex Cafe is a really cool space in Pensacola. A really well designed space that is elegant and upscale feeling, and a space you'll enjoy sitting for a long spell with coffee and maybe a good book. However, wow, the prices will make it not a good place for an every morning coffee stop. Prices for a regular size black coffee are 25% higher than already high-priced coffee at that chain coffee shop where the Star shines, and the coffee costs big Bucks. As a local it won't be my regular morning stop for that reason.

Hands down the best coffee downtown Pensacola. The Rex is extremely consistent with all of the drinks they make, so you always know what you are going to get - high quality. I only drink espresso drinks, and they do it perfectly. Every shot of espresso always tastes the same, and never comes out burnt. They also have an amazing staff of young people who love working there and are very friendly. I will never get coffee from another place downtown.
