This was our second trip to Union Public but the food was not as good as the first time. I had salmon both times and the salmon was definitely not as good as the first time. The main difference was the veggies associated with the salmon. The last time the salmon was over a bed of black-eyed peas which went very well with the salmon fillet, this time it was over roasted cauliflower and snow peas with mandarin orange and what I guess was some kind of pork skins. We loved the atmosphere and very attentive waitress. She gave us recommendations that were spot on. The pot times were yummy paired with the pork shank entree. Cocktail menu was eclectic, fun and diverse. We will definitely be back.
Our server was exceptional! My friend and I went to UPH on a Saturday evening. We'd originally requested to eat outside, but it was a very windy evening and the hosts offered an inside table without any prompting from us. Our server asked if we had any dietary needs.
