My wife and I are big Waffle House fans and make it a point to stop in at different locations whenever we travel just to compare the experience. The food at this Pensacola location was exactly what we love—hot, fresh, and delicious, every bit as good as the best Waffle Houses we’ve visited. Our waitress Ka’daisha was an absolute sweetheart—friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Unfortunately, another waitress named Rachel really disrupted the whole meal. While we were eating, she was refilling salt and pepper shakers and kept reaching over/into our booth space without so much as an “excuse me.” It felt intrusive and uncomfortable. She was also slamming silverware and dishes into the sink so loudly that it was hard to have a conversation. She even stated right next to our table “lets dry some silverware, that should be fun!” We weren’t the only ones bothered—the rest of the staff looked visibly irritated, and even the manager seemed to be avoiding her. Toward the middle of our visit we noticed that her shift was ending and she was going home. The moment she left, the entire atmosphere changed for the better. You could literally feel the tension lift, and the restaurant immediately became calm and pleasant again. The remaining crew was kind, professional, and clearly relieved. Overall, great food and mostly wonderful people—we’ll definitely be back and just hope Rachel isn’t on shift next time. Ka’daisha and the rest of the team deserve huge props for keeping things together!

I placed an online order. When I got home I checked my order. I didn’t receive my side order of bacon. I paid $4.95 for 3 strips of bacon and didn’t get it. I tried to call them but the number listed is a recording only. It tells you to place order online and that’s it. There’s no other way of contacting them unless you physically go back to the restaurant. This is insane.

Always weird when we sit in here or order food here. Ordered ham egg and cheese with grits today and only got eggs and grits. And 3 small pieces of ham. I’m a breastfeeding mom and need the protein and also a quick decent meal because I really don’t get to eat during the day and it’s really discouraging that the service is so poor here. Hope there’s a change in staff and culture or something. There’s a lot of tourists that come through the area and store would be doing a lot better if some changes were made and food was made right

Staff member on break or off the clock talking very loudly about their "baby mama drama" the entire time we were there. Not my business to listen but when you're "yell talking" to the person 2 feet from you and everyone in the restaurant can hear you, you make it everyone's business.
