I eat here pretty often and love it. today I brought my friend's 9 year old, so I'm going to post her review. "the food is really good, and they are faster than McDonald's!"
Great food, good atmosphere, bizarre service.
My first experience at Wako was delicious! I decided on the all you can eat sushi and the monster and dynamite rolls were the best rolls I have ever eaten--seriously.
The bizarre service came at the end of the meal as I was slowly working on the last 4 bits of the roll (Maki?). The rule for all you can eat is simply, eat what you take. No problem. The server came by and mentioned that rule and then started talking to me like I was a toddler. Can you eat one more bite? Just one more bite!
Our entire table was shocked into silence.
I have 2 little kids, so I get that "kid vocabulary" can slip out, but it certainly changed the feel of the evening.
TLDR: Good food, bizarre end to the service.

Food was wonderful. Wait staff seemed underemployed. Our waiter was very nice, but he seemed very stressed out. I will definitely return for the $30 all you can eat meal, but I hope that they will have more staff so our waiter will have more time to attend our orders.

Came in about 6:30 for take out. I orderd 2 teriyaki chicken with rice, salad and 1 sushi roll. Got home and it was more like teriyaki Onions. Let me state I like onions I use them in about every dish I make . If this is a way to make things stretch like the chicken , well I'm just giving a little advice . Your place will not stay open . This is ridiculous.

I had a Togo order. The people were great, the music inside is to new age for me.
The food.
I had combo fried rice, which was about 3.5 stars, it was fresh but the chicken and beef were cut so small you can barely see them and definitely can't taste them because of the size. There were only 2 pieces of shrimp in the entire order.
The Sushi I'll do individually.
Bango Bongo roll. The flavor was good, the rice was a bit wet for my liking, and it had no sauces on it. 3 stars
Dragon Roll. It'd be better named water log roll. It was dripping wet, which I assume was from all of the cucumber. It was supposed to have eel in it but I couldn't see any. It was just wet cucumber, soaking wet rice, damp alvacado and again no sauce on the roll. -2 stars
They asked if I'd like any sauces on the side which was nice since there was none on the sushi.
I was really looking forward to trying this place, I called and they offered to remake the dragon roll but it was so bad I'll pass on getting the free roll.
Hopefully you'll have better food than I did. Good luck.

Ask for Raymond. He may be a manager, but he is a solid server.
Had Raymond as our server - best service yet (aside from when we used to ask for Joe). Personable, wasn't afraid to actually have a conversation, and made sure that our experience was enjoyable. Went so far as to make me a snowman out of ice cream. Who else does that? No one, that's who.
This would have been a 5 star experience, but the outdated, inaccurate, seen-better-days menu and inconsistent food quality ruin the experience. None of the sushi rolls say that they come with masago, but some of them do (like the Dragon roll and a couple others). How can you serve your rolls with something that isn't listed on the menu? Why is it our (the customer's) responsibility to remember to ask for no masago? Also, some of your menus are literally falling apart and yet you're still giving them to customers to use. Would be nice to see you update/re-print/improve your menus. Suggestion - put a little "M" near the name of the roll and then in the foot notes, leave a note that the M means "topped with masago" or "contains masago". Simple, easy, and no one has to be disappointed and have to ask for a new roll.
We've been coming here for 2 years (since you opened) and Raymond and Joe are by far the best servers we've had here and your service has always been hit or miss. Sometimes your food is undercooked. Sometimes we forget to ask for no masago (because it's not listed on the menu) and have to ask for a new roll because we don't want masago (and scraping it off would mean losing all the sauce or the top part of our sushi).
Little things make a big difference. It's not a bad spot for food, but there are definitely places options (though they have quite the line of people waiting for service). Raymond's excellent service is the only thing that kept this as a 4-star. Please hire encourage more of your servers to be more personable.

Reliably "ok" sushi buffet. I've never gotten sick, but there are better options elsewhere if you want to spend the money. The service is usually slow so order multiple rolls at a time. Don't bother with cocktails unless you don't care about how they taste because they do not know how to mix or balance drinks, but at least the pours are decent. Good lunch spot for coworkers or friends, not good for dates because of how cramped and loud it can get and very little ambiance.

Ordered a Veggie Delight Hibachi and it was basically a whole onion chopped up with a sliver of a few other vegetables. Not the quality of food I was expecting for the price.

I see extremely positive reviews for Wako, I've also had several friends tell me it's great show me my first experience just wasn't what I expected.
The service was great! Five stars there. Are waitress was hospitable and kempt the drinks full. Atmosphere was a 3 and I feel like that's a little generous. Our party was sat so close to the next table that the chairs nearly overlapped. Definitely not possible to have any sort of private conversation, or even easily get up to go to the restroom. Maybe this isn't the usual?
And then the food was not great. We had four adults and two kids at our table, no in particularly enjoyed it. The sushi taste dry, and less fresh than we would have liked.
This all being said we're going to give it another shot because several of our friends swear by this place. I will edit this review when we do.

Sushi pieces left something to be desired but the rolls were ok. AYCE is only $20 with soft drinks and dessert included.
The service was extremely prompt and my waiter took amazing care of me. Food came out very rapidly. It’s not the best sushi I’ve ever had, but it works in a pinch if you have a serious craving. The price is unbeatable and honestly more than makes up for the fish not being perfect. And they have hand rolls!
I would definitely come here again when I’m in the mood to stuff my face with fish.

The service was great minus the petite woman staring our table down. Bringing out here mop bucket 40 minutes prior to close. Fabeuloso and sushi not a good mix. She only bothered to sweep right next to my table banging chairs into mine. How rude lady! We spent $130+ and left well before close. If you don't like your job get a different one.

The restaurant is clean and our server was great. We had AYCE lunch and it really wasn't that good. The sushi pieces were cut so thin and the color of the tuna and salmon was really pale. Looked and tasted low grade. Our rolls were ok but nothing exceptional for sure. One said crunchy topping and there was no crunch (Lovers Roll). My hot tea was cold. If you get the vegetable tempura order two - very skimpy. Probably won't return for a while.

We had been so excited to finally go to Wako!! The minute we approached the building, we were shocked!!! It was FILTHY!!! The entry way and sidewalks leading up the entrance was DISGUSTING!!! Why don't they power wash it????? We continued inside and the minute we entered, there was an overpowering smell of fish that was bad or something that was rotten!! It was very strong, and we almost left...but we stayed because it was 2:30 on a Friday and the place was packed!!! Plus, the reviews were outstanding!!! We were seated at a table, the floor was so sticky and slippery, very gross!! The table was also dirty and menus were disgusting!!! The menu was dirty, falling apart and looked nasty!!! We decided to leave without trying the food, we just had the thought if this place is that dirty in the outside and seating area, how clean could the kitchen actually be??? I am Japanese and was SHOCKED at the uncleanliness!! I have NEVER been in a Japanese restaurant that was so dirty!!! I was very sad and sorry to post this review.
