Good Grits!It was my first time to Benedict’s, a small chain in Pinellas County. I can see why they’ve been successful—good food and a clean restaurant—with only a couple quibbles.As a solo diner I sat at the counter with a good view of all the action. Unfortunately, that included having to hear a lot of staff banter sprinkled with F-bombs. I really don’t need to hear that over my breakfast. I also had to request each coffee refill and the check. My server, while very pleasant, never checked back to see if all was OK.The food was generally very good. I was happy to find some of the best grits I’ve had after eating bad grits in many breakfast diners in Pinellas County. Normally I find them runny and bland. Here they had a nice crunchy texture and some flavor. They still needed a little a little butter, salt & pepper but they were way above average. The eggs were good and the serving was large. The ham was a nice slice, properly seared. I also tried their cinnamon French toast, something I normally really like. But this one had an odd taste.Overall, Benedicts does a good job with breakfast and I would go back.

Everything about the visit was wonderful. Food tasted great, portions were more than I could eat, and the service was what you'd want on a Saturday morning - good, but not in your face. Definitely worth a stop in if you're looking for some great breakfast in the area. I had the Country Skillet, it was phenomenal.

Today's visit was even better than yesterday's. The cooks do a good job with eggs and egg whites by not crisping them and frying them on a clean grill or pan so they don't taste like what came off the grill last. They butter the toast to the edges. The BLT sandwich, Eggs benedict and egg white cheese and veggie meals tasted great. Bathrooms are clean, Staff cleans the tables each time. The inside is inviting, pleasant low volume music and you do not go out with the "fried grease smell" on your clothes and sinuses. Menu items will keep me going back because of the variety. GREAT Bread. And details on the table include jelly's that include apple butter and orange marmalade. Staff is relaxed and genuinely friendly. The experience was better than I might have expected. We found this place on accident and it was one of the best breakfast places we have ever been too.The biscuits & gravy are so good . Skillets are big , I could only eat half .The service was great .

BEST quiche ever! And OMG the assortment of homemade breads are delicious. My mom was in a nearby facility and we stayed in a hotel for a few days, not knowing the area, someone recommended trying Benedict's for breakfast. We were hooked on our first visit. Great Food, Great Service and even though the place was always full, we never had to wait more than a couple minutes for a table. Highly recommend, but they are only open for breakfast & lunch.
