Fully automated eatery. The staff was helpful after forgetting to add toast to our order. Exactly what you'd expect for breakfast.

Tried for first time today. Ordered eggs bacon sausage and pancakes with blueberries. Bacon and sausage were good. Pancakes were just okay. Paid $2.50 more to get blueberries, which I thought would be added to batter. There were five berries in the batter and some on top. Not enough to account for the surcharge. Eggs had an odd flavor and no seasoning , but were cooked per request and decent after salting and peppering them. Ordering from phone was fine. Place was cute and clean. Asked someone for a spoon and they said they didn’t think they had any spoons. Odd. Was just okay but probably won’t return. Nothing special food-wise and I expected more for a $30 breakfast.

So the look of this breakfast restaurant is very nice and modern with nice colors, very interesting with tablets to order with and robots that bring the food, but all it's modern ideas make the service not that great. With only certain options to order with and people busy bringing the food, service is a little lacking. I had scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes with blueberries, the eggs were a little watery and had a weird sweet flavor in it, the bacon was delicious and the pancakes were very good. It's an interesting concept but needs a bit more of a human touch.

This whole order from the screen and let the robots bring out the food thing is NOT working. The experience was bad all the way around. The server, if you can call it that, told us how to use the screen or phone to order. We were never offered the option of using a menu and having someone take our order. Later I listened as several servers offered that to other customers. So we ordered. My husband clicked that he wanted eggs over hard with his meal. I ordered scrambled with mine. Husband must have hit something wrong because when the food arrived along with a different person that was not our first server. My meal was correct and my husbands was missing eggs entirely. They said he never ordered any. He realized he messed up because its VERY confusing. Asked for eggs over HARD. The server person proceeded to take away ALL of the food instead of leaving mine and just going and getting some eggs! So then when the new food comes. ALL of it is wrong! I no longer had scrambled as I orderd. I was given runny eggs and bacon that was only halfway cooked. I had ordered it well done. Then they bring my husband runny eggs too! NOT What we ordered! Then no syrup for the pancakes. I went to get sugar packets for my coffee. Someone had put a whole bunch of half used sugar packets in our dish. Gross. Then when they came and asked if things were okay I said NO. This isn't what we ordered! Then a different girl comes over maybe a manager and gaslights us and says since my husband asked for over hard eggs they just "assumed" that's what we both wanted? I had the receipt showing what I ordered! So they bring us runny eggs? I didn't order that! So why did they assume what we wanted when we TOLD them what we wanted? To top it all off, if you order there you have to pay and leave tip BEFORE you get your food! I only at half my pancakes and one piece of bacon. The runny eggs I didn't order were gross and the half cooked bacon was gross. No offer of any compensation. She offers us free pancakes IF we come back again..... NOPE won't be back. This place has a terrible business model. No real server. It was bad. really bad. The girl apologized but we paid almost $50 for a lousy breakfast! They got their money and a tip! NEVER again. BEWARE

Waited 30 minutes just for our drinks(coffee and water) Then another 30 minutes for two biscuits. Then another almost 30 minutes for a waffle. They completely forgot my husbands meal, and by making it “ok” they gave us another two biscuits by pilling gravy on the top so they were not edible after sitting in the fridge for an hour. I will never go again, and why are we tipping before we pay for our food? The service was beyond horrible. Never again. Not to mention the food isn’t that good. You’re reminder - Just make breakfast at home. It will taste better and you’ll save $100

My wife and I stopped here for breakfast as we went through St Pete. We had seen the name and always wanted to see what the experience was like. First of all, when we walked in there was a sign - “Wait to be seated”. A minute or two later the friendly gal came over and said, “You can sit anywhere you like.” So, maybe they should have another sign for less busy times saying- “Seat yourself”.
I noticed later that some regulars came in and seated themselves. Not a big deal, but I’m giving a first impression.
Inside is very clean, cute and aromatic. The booths were large, nice and airy and we ordered coffee to start, and it was appreciated as you have your own little pot for refills. The menu is acquired by a QR code, or using the dedicated table monitor. I did like looking through the selections and we picked a couple items but got distracted and the whole order canceled and reset. You also must pay directly at the point of order and are asked to give your tip then. Usually, I wait until I evaluate service and the food quality before I tip, so I simply gave the standard amount. I also watched another patron speak about his confusion when ordering just the sausage and eggs and trying to find which selection would work. Part of the reason for the automation aspect is the robot which helps with food delivery.
But the important thing is the food. And to this, I must say that the food was very good. My wife had delicious waffles topped with berries and granola. I had the pancakes, eggs over easy and turkey sausage. The pancakes were up to the Buttermilk challenge- tasty, light, and fluffy. The turkey patties were just ok, a little too much of a pork imitation instead of its own taste. Personally, a veggie sausage would be nice alternative especially since I paid the extra $3 for simply going with turkey instead of pork.
Overall, the place will grow into its space with good food and great waitstaff. I considered this as an excellent choice for a small business brunch where the atmosphere was very crisp and clean and the food more than acceptable.

Slow service. Cold has browns. Omelet was not good. Had to ask for the bill. Had to wait for drinks and to place food order. Expensive. I won't be back.

So far, you pay first and give tip before you even receive your food. Leaves there help with no responsibility so don't be in any kind of rush here. No one is held accountable. Food is 4 out of 10. It would be way better if it was actually made and not ALL frozen processed food. Eggs are cooked in an microwave popcorn oil and there is actually no buttermilk in the liquid mix pancakes or the non buttermilk biscuits. Go to a mom and pop place they deserve the business. Great idea though.
Buttermilk Eatery was a great breakfast experience. The server was kind and explained the almost futuristic but very simple order and delivery system.
The food was delicious and came in large portions- had plenty to enjoy at home!
Highly recommend the fluffy pancakes served with warm butter, powdered sugar and hot syrup. Definitely must visit when in St. Pete !

If you’d like to pay twice the price for less amount despite clearly being shown double then Buttermilk is the brunch place for you.
Their pics for orange juice show the regular being two small bottles of it and the kid size being a glass of it. Reality is adult size is a glass that’s even smaller than the kid size at double the price. Staff was surprised I pointed this out and seemingly in disarray about resolving it for me.
??
Food wise the place was alright. It’s fine, nothing amazing food or service wise. Bit of a wait. Food comes to your table on a robot cart that seems a bit happier to be working there than the human staff.
Dietary restrictions: It took a little bit to get a staff member’s attention when we needed it to ask a question about a food ingredient. You order at the table via a mounted tablet so staff doesn’t come by as often before you order. .. They did come by a lot after we got our food though.
Kid-friendliness: It’s fine. Regular place.

Great! Little breakfast spot. Reminds me kind of a first watch, but with a little bit more of a Southern vibe. Food was really good! The restaurant was very cute and the service was great. They even had a robot that carried the food out to assist the server. It was a pretty cool use of technology, but it took away a little bit from the customer service aspects in some sense. Just something about having robots doing the work. Makes it a little less homey and a little more and makes me think more of like a factory or somewhere where they're just producing stuff and pumping it out.
Overall it was a great experience though and I would definitely come back to try out some more of the food! I had the country fried steak and it was delicious!
