As soon as we walked she ignored a black lady to the side that set us at a table. The chairs don’t have any cushion they are really low it has a bad odor they was training someone so it was very uncomfortable to have someone beside the waitress just looking weird . My friend was on the important phone call with his mom and the owner came to say that he couldn’t be on his phone meanwhile we could hear the people next to us whole conversation. And just weee the only black folks .

Amazing!! Food is authentic, delicious. Atmosphere great. Highly recommend!! Gator Burger was delicious ??⚜️??
Ordered a crawfish po boy with fries to go and they were both great. Fries were average, but the Po Boy was the star of the show. Piled high with crawfish and other ingredients and on a tasty roll, this is one place to stop by and try out. They also have a hearty beer selection and a full menu. Recommended for some tasty NOLA cuisine.

I've been going to Cajun Cafe since it was on the Bayou. It tastes like you're in New Orleans. Save room and share the Bread Pudding one of The Best I ever had.
I miss the old place down by the water near the former Wagon Wheel Flea Market site; it was part of the experience. The new place is bright and clean and very comfortable, but not special and charming in quite the same way. The good news is that the food is as fabulous as ever. Outside of New Orleans (and maybe not even then, I can't say for sure), you won't find anything as authentic or as delicious. Heaven on a plate. Great beer selection, too.
Do yourself a favor and TRY THIS PLACE! We visit our daughter and her fiancé in St Pete a couple of times a year and Cajun Cafe on the Bayou is one of the first places we go when we arrive. It’s also where we want to go before heading home to Bham, Alabama.Consistently amazing food and a huge selection of beers both bottled and on tap. The owner is so friendly and accommodating. If you love authentic Cajun food, you will appreciate the flavors found here. It’s a bit unassuming on the outside (at the end of a strip mall) but I promise you won’t be disappointed. Crawfish etouffe is stellar, so are the crab cakes, super fresh salads and the fried okra. Oh, and their sausages are straight from Beaux Bridge, Louisiana AND they sell them for you to cook at home. You will think you’re in NOLA for sure when you smell these dishes, taste a crisp, cold beer and hear jazz horns and clarinets softly playing.P.S. We have never saved room for their whiskey bread pudding but I hear it is incredible. One day…
I always enjoy dining at Cajun Cafe. Food is outstanding, always fresh and delicious. Service is superior and friendly. A must for a great dining experience.
Always love this place, never get here often enough. Crawfish etouffee is my go to and takes me back. Good beer and need to get across the bridge a bit!
The server was very friendly. She was able to provide a clear selection of gluten free menu options and even some ciders on tap and in a can they had. The jambalaya was very fresh with its tomato sauce with a bit of a kick. Definitely glad I paired it with the salad! My table ordered some gator bites as well for appetizers (not gluten free) but they said that they were amazing and the best they had in a while.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free menu available if you ask server
