Siomai heaven!! The best siomai I've ever had! I am addicted to their siomai. The owner Mercel told me herself that she makes her siomai from scratch. She explained that it's very time-consuming to make it and wrap it and then steam so most Asian restaurants buy it frozen pre-made. I can say firsthand her time spent is worth the taste. I've had both the pork and chicken versions here and both are incredible. I've ordered siomai at different Chinese and Japanese restaurants throughout the country and maybe throughout my life at over 100s of different locations .... but honestly and truly none of them even come close to the siomai at Mercel's Philippine Bakery. I order it to go all the time. I really cannot recommend this enough!

We used Mercel's to cater appetizers for our wedding, and the guests couldn't stop raving about it! We got the lumpia and pancit and it was all gone so fast. Absolutely delicious food and great for catering!

The old lady at the cashier has an attitude. Been here a couple of times and half of the time she can be a bit rude or unfriendly.Their food is not the best and a lot of the foods listed in their menu isn't available.

I'm sharing this review for awareness. We always bought sweets here, called Suman. As always, we asked the lady at the counter if it's fresh just to make sure, and she replied, " Yes, very fresh." My daughter ates it and noticed the bad taste when she checked molds are all over. It is very hard to see because the sweets are wrapped in a banana left and then sealed in a plastic. The next day, my husband returned the sweets, and the lady just took it from his hand, bought a fresh one, put it in the counter, then turned around and went to the kitchen without saying any words. So, if you shop from this store, please check thoroughly, especially food items. Because, even the groceries, some of them are long expired already.

My wife and I decided stop by here from our Clearwater beach honeymoon vacation. My wife really loves Filipino food because she is a Filipina herself. We got pancit and Halo halo for our to go order. The pancit was pretty good but not the best and that is why is shop is getting 4 star review. On the other hand the halo halo was very good. I would highly recommend it! I would stop by again in the future when I visit near the area for the halo halo :)

WARNING!!!!!!!!Don't ever order food here. Its my first time and my wife eating here. We ordered sinigang na baboy and bbq pork on the stick and sisig na baboy. The sinigang na baboy dont have TASTED at all. And the pork bbq they just wipe the pork a seasoning. Or maybe they need to replace the COOK. I dont call him or her a CHEF. And one more thing my wife asked where is the restroom and the old lady gave her a attitude because we didnt give her a tip. First she didnt ask us if we are doing ok nothing at all. Poor poor poor. Luckily this mercel's location still OPEN. And everthing is small portion. This restaurant is a TUBONG LUGAW. Not happy not contented. Not delicious.

My wife is Filipina so she gets her pancit noodles and other Filipino groceries there. The owner isn't super friendly but if the wife wants Filipino she gets Filipino. The store is small and there are only three booths for customers. Much of the floor is taken up by boxes being shipped to the Philippines.

This bulalo $11 for this small portion, I was very surprised? I asked if I can get maybe more broth but said no. Some of the food that I ordered had a decent portion, I was just surprise that the bulalo is this small amount of portion.

I ordered pansit bihon and noticed the noodles is slimy and had a smell. I was starving and only ate the chicken toppings and ended being brought to the ER due to bad diarrhea and I was dehydrated.
