just visited for the 1st time..but it will not be our last..Great food..Great service
Family restaurant- homey feeling. This is the first time I’ve been there and the food was fabulous. I had the veggie wrap in a garlic wrap. It was which was unexpected but delicious. I added cheese for a little punch and some much needed salt. I had a choice of french fries or tater tots so I had their french fries I typically do not eat french fries but their french fries were delicious. This also came with a pickle spear and a very tiny container of coleslaw. I did not eat the coleslaw as I do not care for coleslaw. I typically take pictures, but I was with friends and I did not on this occasion. I would definitely go back and recommend. They had many specials to choose from anywhere from quiche to roast beef sandwiches. Looks like they had homemade pies and desserts. Plenty of parking. The Wait staff was great. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options.
Vegetarian options: I did not look through the entire menu. It was a decent size menu once I spotted the veggie wrap. I knew I had to try it.- my friend had a slice of quiche and it looked delicious, decent size. They had breakfast type foods, but also lunch menu such as salads and soups. Like I said a good size menu. I did not look at the entire thing. Maybe there were some options for dinner. I don’t know…. I guess I’ll look harder next time.
Parking: Plenty of parking
Kid-friendliness: This looked just as kid friendly as any of the popular chain restaurants I don’t know any more or less I did not look at the menu for kids
Wheelchair accessibility: They had a handicap bathroom and a ramp to get inside

Parkside Cafe, right in the heart of Pinellas Park, has long been one of my favorite breakfast spots. The place is always bustling, thanks to its fast, friendly service and consistently great food. Whether you’re craving a classic omelette or pancakes, it’s hard to beat the quality and atmosphere here.
However, I was a bit disappointed during my visit last week when I noticed they now charge a 3% fee for using a credit card. I understand that this fee is what the cafe is charged by the vendor for accepting credit card payments, and it expands their ability to accommodate more payment options and attract a broader customer base. But I don’t think passing that extra cost onto customers—especially when the place is almost always packed—feels quite right.
So, if you’re planning a visit, just be aware: bring some cash to avoid the surcharge, or expect to pay an extra 3% for your meal. Despite this small inconvenience, the food and service are still top-notch, and I’ll definitely keep coming back—just with cash in hand next time!

3 per cent surcharge is a ripoff.

My dad and I have been coming here for a year now every day off we have. The servers are everyone are great. But this morning my dad went alone and was sat at a table that had a piece of wood sticking out and poking him. So he asked a bus girl passing by if he could move to another table which she said wouldn’t be a problem. Well about 10 minutes later, I believe it was the owners grandpa came and scolded my dad very rudely about moving, even though he asked. We together have spent well over $2000 here and to be treated like that was not okay. He thought about it for a second and went and told him how it wasn’t okay and he kicked him out for it. Great staff with good food but whoever that man was made sure we won’t be returning. Not how you treat your customers.

Upon entering the restaurant, I was warmly welcomed into a pleasant atmosphere by a lovely lady. The sweet tea I ordered was refreshing, and I quickly placed an order for a delicious two-stack pancake with sides of grits and hash browns. The hash browns were perfectly cooked and served warm, just like the rest of my meal. While the grits were tasty, they were a bit more watery than I prefer. The pancakes, on the other hand, were absolutely delicious, and the new watermelon lemonade I tried was the perfect finishing touch to my meal.

This is the cutest family-owned restaurant! I've been here multiple times for breakfast and lunch, and the servers are always so kind and attentive. Even when they're busy (which there's normally a crowd of locals), they make a point to check in with you every chance that they can. The food is delicious!
